  1. I do not. Hi Theo, I don't know if you saw "Edit 2" in that reply I made, but I genuinely didn't mean to offend you, it was just a silly joke and I hope you didn't think it was a "dig" at you. It certainly wasn't intended as such. I am a tech guy myself and do appreciate all the thought and work that goes into prototyping. Kind Regards
  2. Please tell me you don't work as a "Wireman" for a defence electronics manufacturer, avionics or on nuclear power stations..... Edit 1 - I guess you could do the control of the Volume chips with a $10 Raspberry Pi Zero W (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) which have GPIO - inc SPI - perhaps you have already done this. Edit 2 - As others have said Theo that is a great project - I do realise how much work must have gone into that, and please don't be offended by my silly joke about the "Wireman" - I know how prototyping is a hell of a lot of (seemingly) wild wiring!
  3. Thanks for that. Strange, I could have sworn he actually was by himself in that first video..................
  4. Brilliant! That young guy will be a successful engineer, I'm sure. Gives me hope for the future when you see dedicated youngsters like that.
  5. Mostly true I guess. I must admit to being a fair bit over 40 but was hoping to get a recent release above the place it reached.... UK Official Singles Chart
  6. Sorry I missed the "Not OT" - I thought you meant one of THESE I was gonna ask about fuel consumption. Edit - Actually I thought of a relevant question - Do you think it would be ok on an X stand?
  7. Thanks for posting that - really enjoyed it! The great thing about video is you can also see how much the musos are enjoying themselves. Cory is the man when it come to funky - IMHO.
  8. maybe, but angry young men grow up eventually (hopefully) But some happy young men become angry old men...fact. It's called "life".
  9. After seeing the other thread about Elvis Costello reminded me that although many may think his first broadcasting gig would have been in the late 70s it was actually playing drums and singing backing vocals for his dad Ross (a trumpeter and vocalist with Joe Loss) in a still well known and loved TV Ad for a favourite UK lemonade, in 1973. His dad wrote the music and sang the "lead" vocals, which were synced with the actor in the ad. Not quite Burt Bacharach, but was a bit of an "earworm" at the time.... [video:youtube]
  10. I think they've had something up their sleeves since...well the 80s most likely.
  11. Some sort of Musical Instrument Digital Interface type thing? Yes, if only......
