Anyone know when and where this is available in US? This looks like a nice low-cost 61 key controller.
I only saw Thomann's US site as having it "On Request", with a photo of the 49 key version.

... also smooth transition (SST) feature on the Kronos, similar to what was offered on the old Kurzweils where sustaining a preset will allow new preset to be selected but won't actually make the sound switch to the new preset until the sustain pedal is released.

Since you own both, it could be an interesting project to use the KRS-06 sounds as a reference and try to duplicate those particular sounds on the B-3X.
It would for sure. I'm a bit limited on my bandwidth, but if I find time, I will certainly post here

Is the Hammond sound definitely coming from the iPad?
I guess the church organ and synth lead are from the Kronos, but how does he switch instantly?

Hammond Organ is absolutely B-3x via iPad to my ears.

Combi's on Kronos constructed so internal sounds and ipad sounds are on different MIDI channels. This way, a combi can be "dead" for either ipad or internal when a certain preset is needed, effectively switching between internal and ipad sound

My thoughts on Upcoming update/Rudess clip:
1. I like that new presets are forthcoming in this manner. Understandably that while Jon Lord type presets are not first on a list for many (personally I'm fine with the choice), we're still in v1 of the software. So this could be the start of more presets in the future. It makes me wonder if adding two wishlist items are warranted: (1) Nested Presets.... presets in groups by genre, style, or some org level. (2) Ability to save presets as a file asset. This way, presets could be dev'd and shared by users. Maybe someone already asked for this, I'd have to check the IK board for that.
2. It's a notable instance of the iPad app used live, which I really like to see. As the app and iPad ecosystem in general matures, I like to see milestones like this where the iPad is used reliably for performance and general usage. More apps, more stability, more versatility in the iPad (even Android) environment... All Good! Note: I still urge that if you're considering B-3x for live use, run the app on a newer, higher powered iPad... The ones that are mentioned for "AUv3" on the Specs page of the IK site.
As for the concert... yeah Mar 14 seemed questionable at the least. I think that DP doesn't play again until May sans any postponements.
A quick note on Emerson sounds... I bought the B-3x app to supplement the relative weakness of authentic organs in my Korg Kronos. However, a few years ago Korg released a set of organ sounds KRS-06 for the Kronos which which were developed in partnership with artists, one artist being KE. I have to say that the Emerson organ Kronos sounds in the KRS-06 bank are excellent and out of sheer convenience I would be inclined to use the Kronos KRS-06 bank to replicate the KE sounds over the B-3x, even though B-3x is a vastly superior sounding organ to the Kronos in general. On the other hand, I do think that B-3x is capable of good KE sounds, but not with the current preset set. So the need for KE presets is certainly there. With the authentic sound, superb Leslie with custom amps, classic effects and studio post efx all-in-one, the B-3x is more than capable!

Has the $99.00 intro price become the normal list price? I don't see anything on their website about $99.00 being the intro price anymore - but I could be missing something obvious. I'm planning on buying a new iPad (my current one is just too old - probably get an iPad Mini 5). I don't want to buy the app until I get my new iPad which might be another month or so. But the first app I get, will be this app. It would really help me out and hearing the posts on this thread, it sounds impressive. Can't wait to get a new iPad.
Would B-3X load on your current ipad at all? Does the app store make it available on your ipad?
FWIW, I purchased B-3X for my ipad Air 1st gen. The app didn't work well enough on it (even with v1.2), but worked fine on the mini 5. I was able to carry the purchase over to the new ipad. The friendly Apple company store helped me with the process.

Runs great on my iPad Air 2.
Might have to bite the bullet and give this a try on my 1st gen iPad Air.
I'm planning to replace it with a 2018 iPad Pro anyway, so no major loss if it plays like a dog...
I have both an Ipad Air 1 and Mini 5. I only took a brief try with the Air 1 with v1.2. There may be modest improvement on the Air 1 in that the Spring Reverb, Chorus, and Overdrive stomps seemed to work now when first activated, but the Wah pedal broke the audio up immediately. I didn't do an extended play yet (only tried it out for a few minutes), so I'm not ready to take back my firm reservations against using B-3x on an Air 1. I could try Airplane mode I suppose.
I wish IK would have created a "Light" mode that disables the stomp effects and guitar cab. My feeling was that if the file presets aren't changed and no effects are added, the audio managed to hold up stably longer.
I welcome the splits and liked that the first update came out quick. I hope that IK continues to improve the software so that the stability matches its sonic prowess!

I have a question for B-3X users.
I would like to use only one keyboard. Split function. Left arm bass and right arm upper part.
Is it possible to EXCLUDE THE EXPRESSION FUNCTION on the bass (left side) while it is active on the right side?

Yeah, expression is global. I'm wondering if you can run two instances in AUM Mixer with one instance on one MIDI ch, the second instance mapped to same device on second MIDI ch. Perhaps there's a way to filter the expression CC for the second instance via AUM but I never tried it.

Without a doubt, this is an excellent emulation...especially the rotary, and agreed it gives pleasant Hammond sounds with all the right key-click, leakage, C/V, and like; and I love the additional effects, however I have not been able to get that top octave to scream out yet. I'm a rocker and use smears a lot. Love to get that snarling roar coming out of a hot solo, but am missing it with the app. Still tweaking EQ, Drive, Compression, and the like...any tips?
Now for ballads and jazzier tunes, this app might be the best sound I currently have access to. Really like it...just need to figure out how to get it a little more rude when the tune calls for it.
Yes. It doesn't scream enough. It sounds good for jim alfredsson on the jazz stuff but I cant play like jim. And I likely won't ever be. For rock stuff it's kinda tame. I've had some success with the cab settings emphasizing the top horn but it's still only half aggressive enough. But using the effects and setting the cab settings high up causes buffering artifacts on my only 1 year old ipad mini4. I'm not inclined to upgrade my ipad to chase an app.
At least not until it screams like jon lord. The other problem is the left hand work pushes down the right hand work. IK needs to change this compression factor. VB3v1 and a vent still kicks b3x's butt.

Regarding sound, perhaps try a different combo of amp and leslie cab. Each amp seems to have a different distort when the gain is pushed. I saw that IK just uploaded two videos on YT from the NAMM show, so you could take note on some of the settings demo'ed.

Additional thoughts/feelings on the B-3X for iOS:

I didn't need it. But I wanted it and purchased it anyway
Long Version:
I've always greatly valued a realistic tone wheel organ/Leslie replication. Up until now and like many of you in the same situation as myself, I have had to rely on what was available versus what I could fit in my budget and my other gear needs. Seeing the first impressions the B-3x of those who tried it out early on really got my attention. When I ultimately tried it for myself, the sound was undeniable and a leap beyond what I've heard to date. I've never owned a real Hammond (B3, C3, A100, heck even an L100!) nor a real Leslie. Most likely, I will not own the real deals in my foreseeable future. I concede that I'm immensely jealous of those who have the real things, that must be awesome beyond words! So I live vicariously through tech. And thus I pulled the trigger on the B-3x app purchase.
-Price , Galileo, Vent, and my Kronos organs...
I'm actually pleased with the price point on this app from this POV... I don't believe that it's inexpensive enough so as to price out Galileo, which I think has a place. Galileo is a solid option for those who need the organ sound with drawbar control in their performances and can be surprisingly convincing in a band context IMHO. I'll add that I think that Garageband also has a decent organ sound but has limited control from what I understand. However B-3x is not so expensive that it competes with hardware or PC/Mac options. Yes, it is certainly more expensive that app prices that many of us are used to seeing. But I don't have any fear at all that the B-3X app price will set a "new normal" for "plug-in" app prices as a whole. Devs will price their apps to sell... simple as that. It's not Candy Crush... devs have to make their money based on the universe of the potential buyers. If they're not selling enough, they'll lower the price for sure. With B-3x as a boutique app that is certainly premium in sound, IK prices accordingly. Early adopters will buy it and vet it for those waiting for lower price or feedback, so all good to me!
I was seriously considering adding a Vent II to my Kronos for my upgraded organ sounds before purchasing B-3x. But even after upgrading my iPad from an Air 1 to a Mini 5 and buying B-3x, my new iPad/app purchase was still less $$ out the door than a new Vent. Plus I get the versatility of using it MIDI with an iPad DAW, the effects (Stomp and Rack), and the mixing of the direct signal, Leslie sound, Guitar Cabs, and amps of choice in one app!
Like I said, I didn't "need" to get this app. I have a Kronos with passable organ sounds, plus I have K Sounds Organimation which sounds very pleasing. But the accuracy of the B-3x was irresistible. So the Kronos orgs are simply "backup" to the B-3x if I need them.
-First go in a performance setting...
A jam with friends at a local studio... Two keyboardists... I and another who had a VR-09. I never heard the VR-09 before and I have to say it's respectable with very solid and pleasing organ sounds. But when I put the B-3x through the mains, the difference was unquestionable... the B-3x roared, sang, and hummed as if it was a living instrument! That's not to say that the sound is perfect for all "out of the box". But there's enough "corrective seasoning" within the available controls that let you refine exactly what you need. For example, I love playing with a lot of key click, but I've noticed that when I hear playback of the B-3x recordings that I've heard, the key click often sounds obnoxious to me. So I dial a good part of it out, which B-3x let's you do easily and effectively. So it's all there for your preferences and taste.
-My beef with IK...
When I originally purchased the B-3x, it was for my Ipad Air 1st gen. After completing my support ticket with Ik regarding my app performance issues on the Air 1, I'm still not satisfied with IK's contention that the app is "compatible" with older Ipads. I strongly urge the reading of all the board threads (including Ik's board) on this subject if you are considering purchasing B-3x for an older Ipad/iOS ver. I can say first hand from my experience that an Air 1 is a no-go for me. I'm pleased to see others coming in with feedback on their own devices so that those in the market can make an informed decision. But again, my beef with IK is that they need to be more explicit in their spec requirements on the app and more realistic on the specs really required. The statement "For AUv3, we recommend using these models and newer: iPad 6th Generation (2018), iPad Air 3rd Generation (2019), iPad Mini 5th Generation (2019), iPad Pro 2nd Generation (2017)" on IK's spec page can really be looked at as ideal requirements IMHO.
I'd like to add that even with my Mini 5, I'm not 100% confident right this moment that the app is as "mission critically" reliable as hardware just yet. But in fairness, I'm warming up to it as during my sessions so far on the Mini 5, it's been stable including the Lightning to USB audio at 128 buffer, just too small a sample size for 100% confidence. The only time I was able to induce stuck notes was when I purposely did smears with a sustain pedal pressed as a test. I'm also using AUM Mixer which allows me to get to a panic button relatively quickly should I need it. BTW, AUM is great, I can run 3 other music apps and stay under 70% CPU usage, nice!!!
Next Steps for me:
Continued use of app in practice and performing to test extended use.
Map to my Kronos
Get a 61key controller for upper/lower control to pair with my 61key Kronos (have to figure out logistics/stand with my PX5S for 3board setup)
These are exciting times for sure! I'm really looking forward to the future of the Ipad ecosystem as a source of instrumentation.

I also purchased an iPad mini 5 for Christmas and encountered the pops and cracks you mention. But in my case it happened on 128 buffer. I returned it to 256 and it was gone. I"m not sure if it is that the iPad doesn"t have enough power to run such low buffers or if it"s an issue within the app itself.

I posted an update on my Ipad Air 1 issue on the IK forum under 'stewfromnj' for those interested. IMO, IK needed to be clearer in their device requirements and I don't think that it is very fair that users are effectively beta testing on marginally sufficient devices. Me personally, I kind of figured that the app on a version 1 was going to be buggy from the start and took the risk with worst case that I upgrade my Ipad.
So I caved and just upgraded my Ipad to a Mini 5! This was my first time upgrading my device and was pleased to learn that all of my apps on my old Ipad device could transfer to my new one via a restore from iCloud (believe that iTunes on PC can do this too) without having to repurchase them. The kind rep from my Apple company store helped me with the procedure but it seemed easy enough for those not near an Apple store.
I haven't gigged or had full practice/jam session yet using B-3x, but on my initial use on my Mini 5, I get the pops on randoms sessions... meaning a few times that I've opened and used the app, I got no pops. But a day later on say the second or third app opening. I got the pops that persisted even after closing/re-opening app. Curious to see if IK can identify the cause and issue a patch. I categorize this as a minor annoyance and not a fatal flaw.
I'll provide a short summary in an upcoming post once I use the app a bit more with my "2 cents" on the app with respect to price, Galileo, Vent, and my Kronos organs. Gotta say, B-3x sounds good so far!

I am the person with the Ipad Air 1st gen issue, severe audio breakup even when not running USB audio. I sent my ticket to IK over the weekend and will reply back here with outcome.
I am running the ipad through my Korg Kronos and was hoping to use USB audio, but even with headphone jack output and no USB connection, the Ipad Air 1 has the app meltdown to uselessness. For those with somewhat older 64 bit Ipads, you may want to stay tuned, .....wish they had a demo version to audition the app for these issues.
I could splurge for a newer Ipad since I could transfer the app from ipad to ipad, but am waiting for resolution from IK.
