I always looked forward to his NAMM reviews

 

I don't know if anybody here remembers Reverend David Lee from HCFX

aka the Rev

he was battling cancer as well and he passed last month

[How Many of You Play More than One Instrument? Why?]

I mostly played stringed instruments, prefer electric guitar

also baritone, guitar, tenor guitar, 6 string bass, 4 string bass, used to have a 12 string

I also like acoustics, have a jumbo, a nylon string, a dobro and an old archtop

also play lapsteel and tried pedal steel (no longer have a pedalsteel)

 

turned to keybords some years ago, mostly for fun

got a couple of small synths and some modules and a Roland workstation, couple of old transistor organs

 

got some musical toys, Stylophones, theremin, etc.

lots of effect pedals

and a sampling pad (ssampling is not really my thing)

 

 

 

 

[What's Your Gigging Rig?]

I am currently in 3 bands and have 3 rigs :

1- Mesa Boogie Mark I amp, pedalboard, guitar (Jazzmaster or SG) and a MicroKorg for some bass lines, Fender P-bass thru Ashdown MAG300, sometimes I uplay an old Ibanez double neck and switch between amps

2- Laptop with GuitarRig and Kontakt, and a Guitar Rig midi controller on the floor, a Telecaster and a master keyboard (usually the MicroKorg), sometimes an extra synth (Minilogue)

3- Gibson Firebird, Fender Champ XD, pedalboard and Minilogue
