  1. It is also possible that your computer hasn't got the right driver for the mojo. you can find it here for windows: https://www.crumar.it/?a=dl&b=103
  2. I think that when you play a triad in the right hand, and the 1 and 7 left, it makes more sense to notate it that way. When i play C-Bb - D-F#-A , i can write down C13#11, but D/C7 gives me a better understanding what/how to play.
  3. I would notate this as a Eb/G7 . Easy and clean.
  4. I’m not a organplayer, so i can’t direcly compare it to a real organ, but i really like the feeling and control it gives me. I taped it onto the gemini module.
  5. Well, a jv2080 should fetch around 350 euros on ebay. You should sell the cards seperatly, around 50-100 each. The ex5r is about 800 euro. The micropiano 75. I would sell it, .
  6. You can use pre-programmed PGM changes to switch between sounds. The Mp7 can control 4 CC's directly with pots..so you can realtime add fx or some other parameter. It also has a line input with line-fader. Power supplies are included, and when you are a keyboard player, i assume you have a stash of cables and a keyboard stand to put everything on. The gemini module and crumar d9x , you can put together and place the on the Mp7, so that would leave 1 stand-extension for the peak. Maybe you think its a lot of effort, but 30 years ago i used to drag 5 keyboard with we to a show, so this is peanuts. I think the improvement in soundquality and playability for rhodes/wurli/organ/synth make up for the hassle.
  7. Maybe if someone is not looking for a "All-in -one"" solution, A good alternative would be a combination of a Kawai MP7SE / GSI Gemini module / Novation Peak. That would cost the same as a nord stage 3. Better keyboard, organs , rhodes, synth, maybe equivalent Acc piano. . If you have some spare money you could add a Crumar d9x for better organ controls.
  8. I tried a good powered usb hub now, and the problem stays the same. Maybe a seperate midi interface connected to a laptop/mainstage could be an option. another one would be the gmlabs d9x for controlling the b3 and a nice synth like the system8....it sucks for now, but this road should lead somewhere.
  9. Thnks for all the suggestions. The powered usb hub was a good next step to find the solution. i found one, without the power supply, but i wanted to test it anyway, and then it gave me a suprising result. I connected the hub to the GSI, and the hubs led went on. I connected the oxygen to the hub, power on and no midi. Then i connected the irig keys also to the hub, that one worked power and midi.......and now the the oxygen also send midi to the Gemini. Looks like the irig gave it a jumpstart. I disconnected the irig, the oxygen still worked. I shut down the Gemini and powered it up without the irig attached, and the oxygen did not send midi... until i attached the irig again. So it gets enough power to potentialy work, but the 2 dont seem to like each other i think.
  10. The irig cable is usb A to Micro B, so i can't use that cable for the M-audio. Unfortunatly there is no other way to power the M-audio keyboard than with the USB. I was thinking about using a powered usb hub, but im not sure if this would solve anything. I also can't find any info on power consumption of both keyboards.
  11. Hello, i want to connect a M-audio oxygen 61 gen 4 to my GSI gemini module. I connect the USB A cable to the Gemini. The keyboard gets power for the USB, but i cannot get any midi signal in. So far i checked the USB input of the Gemini, that works with another cable with a Irig keys 37 pro (power and midi). I also checked the m-audio and USB cable on my computer...that works also (power and midi). I updated the firmware of the Gemini. Global channel setting is also good. I really dont have a clu what the problem is. Does anyone have a suggestion? Also i tried to connect the keyboard to the USB B connection of the Gemini, but than i dont get power. Can somebody confirm that this is ok? thnks Marcel
  12. If i play A-G in the left hand and G-B-D-F# in the right hand, i would consider the D a 11 and not the natural 4. If you dont want them to play the 11th in a 13th chord, you should write A9/13, so that it obvious that 7 and 9 are in , and that the 13 is add.
  13. For me this is correct. Same goes for Ami11.. I would play effectifely a Emi7/A I would call this: A7/13 . If the B was included it would be a A9/13.
  14. The kawai mp7 has a setting where you can change the L/R output to 2xmono. Piano sound in mono is good enough i think. For monitoring i want to use the headphones output. Only problem atm is that i get distortion because the headphones out is not at line level. But you could make a cable to correct that.. https://www.soundonsound.com/sound-advice/q-how-to-hookup-guitar-pedals-to-synth-or-keyboard (this is a mono version..but can easily be adopted to stereo.
