  1. This is my home studio set-up. Pretty happy with everything. Will 'upgrade' the Fantom X6 eventually. It is used solely as a controller. Tried the Kronos, wasn't for me. Thinking about maybe a PC3K6. We'll see what comes out this year. The Integra 7 pairs great with the Nord Stage IMO. The A49 controller has decent action for a simple midi controller. My old iPad2 has been relegated to Integra 7 editor/controller duty; the PC editor is terrible IMO. But the iPad editor is nice. Computer is a 2013 Mac Mini. It is actually racked in that 16 space rack just above the printer. Rack is called a 'Sonnet RackMac Mini'; overpriced but very cool. Superdrive is also in the rack. Primary software is Logic, MainStage, Komplete 10, and Halion Sonic. Omnisphere 2 is on my wish list but Alchemy being added to Apple has kept me pretty content so far. http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn33/jasonbass32/2015-12-20%2017.19.30_zpsrttxsop5.jpg http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn33/jasonbass32/2015-12-20%2017.18.52_zpsnzu90hhr.jpg http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn33/jasonbass32/2015-12-20%2017.17.53_zpsskbglfjc.jpg
  2. I briefly owned the nord electro 5hp. Purchased it partially because I thought the TP100 in the kurzweil artis played just fine. When the nord arrived my first thought after about 2 seconds was that this feels nothing like the Artis action. It felt much more heavier and sluggish IMO. Just to be sure I went back to the piano store and played the Artis for about 30 minutes, returned home and immediately played the electro 5hp. My opinion was more than confirmed. Returned the electro hp and got a stage 2 76. Shame because the electro 5 sounds outstanding and I would have preferred it to the stage due to its simplicity and weight.
  3. Been a busy last couple of weeks for me. Picked up a Roland Integra 7 and a Numa Compact piano. As well as the usb dongle thing needed to run Halion sonic 2. Which I will try before I buy. Integra 7 came with the A49 controller in the package deal. At first I was thinking about returning the Integra 7 because the editor is terrible and it didn't work as I thought it would in regards to the AU plugin feature. I ended up building a mainstage template that overcame these issues and now I can't stop playing it. I think it has almost every sound roland ever made. Haven't had a chance to get into the numa compact yet. Maybe tonight
  4. I agree with DBon's post above. The FA06 keys feel just like the juno g I used to own. Exactly what I was hoping would not be the case. I spent more than an hour with the 06 at GC in Baton Rouge. I have been strictly a roland owner xp10 to juno g (with srx 07) to FAntom x6 to Fantom g6. I currently have the X6 (with srx 03, 07, and 11). I really wanted to like this board but I think I'm going to pass for the time being. Maybe pick up a used integra. Have $2k to spend was going to get the FA 06 plus a new bass for the studio. Think I'm going to keep my X6 sell srx 11 and buy 09 and 05. And buy a Nord electro 4 sw 73 for piano sounds.
  5. I heard April and some vendors have a lot of pre-orders already. I noticed that MF just pushed their expected ship date back on their website. I am considering the 06. Pretty much guaranteed to buy unless Keybed action is bad. I will find a place to play one before I order. I'm in no rush but want to upgrade sounds from the fantom x. Also lighter board is a plus. I'm also hoping it will fit in that mono m80 vertigo 61 key case.
  6. I specifically asked about srx 07 and 03. I wonder what this will do to the online (ebay) prices of srx cards. Which IMO are way overpriced. In some cases more double what they were new.
  7. This may have been mentioned but in case it wasn't. I just verified with roland that the srx downloads, available next month, will be free
