  1. A midi'd ventilator would be welcomed by me. Or a Korg Kronos VST would be more welcome. Or a whole lot more talent on my part would be really really welcomed.
  2. Surprised nobody mentions the Motion Sounds keyboard amps. Just my opinion, but stereo is a must.
  3. She's back, baby, she's back.
  4. Did Korg Forum finally bite the dust???? I hope not. For us Korg users, it was a great forum.
  5. Thanks Moonglow. I am going to definitely explore that option. thanks again.
  6. Anybody know if it's possible to change scenes with some type of midi controller instead of using the touch screen? Not a big fan of using touch screen for live performance. Thanks.
  7. I'm curious about this as well. I'd like to see something like Korg Kronos, setlist to call up combination of sounds, within that combination have scenes to change programs. Better yet, Korg release a Kronos software standalone version.
  8. The vast majority of people that have cataract surgery are thrilled with the results. Sadly, I'm not in that group. I had surgery six months ago, right eye only, had the upgraded lens Vivity, $3500 and $1500 for laser, and I have constant flickering or fluttering every time I move my right eye, halos and streaks of light. It is very disturbing. Doc says it should go away, but after six months I'm losing any hope. I wish I'd gone with a basic monofocal lens because I don't believe I would be having these problems. Plus I still need to wear readers. Ugh. Don't mean to be a debbie-downer, but warning to do your research carefully when picking a lens.
  9. Now this is a game changer. Might even consider dumping Korg Kronos for this. Hardware at home, light performance controller and macbook for live use. Wow. One question as I'm someone that's never owned a Montage. The performance screen where you touch and change performances/programs, is that in this software? I know not for touch, but wonder if the performance screen is in the software and triggered by a midi controller. Thanks.
  10. Just my opinion, obviously, UGH !!!!! I mean, the piano sounds wonderful, but what in the h-e-double hockey sticks is Korg thinking with their designs lately. The Nautilus 61/73 is not only hideous, much bigger than need be and very difficult to pick us with the goofy rounded edges. The 88 looks fine/professional. And now this Grandstage X. Please, Korg, stop with cartoonish designs and bring back professional looking keyboards. Okay. That's my rant for today. Oh, I'm STILL waiting for Kronos 3, but not holding my breath.
  11. Every year I post a video during the holidays for family and friends. This is from this year:
  12. Nord released an OS update yesterday, still no Song Mode. UGH !!!!!
  13. Sensaphonics is located here in Chicago. Dr. Santucci and his staff are great. I've used their IEM products for years. They really try and address every individual's needs. Years ago I was in there getting a fitting and there were members of Ozzy Osborn's band picking up their IEMs.
  14. The BEST quote I've heard is from (Of all people) the retired violinist David Ragsdale of the band Kansas. He was asked by a fan of his, who was also a violinist, telling David that he always wanted to be a professional musician, but instead received a degree in some other field and how wasn't sure he made the right decision. David said to him, "Do you own a home?" and the fan said, "Yes." David said, "you made the right decision."
  15. I have AT on my Kronos, never use it. In my opinion -- and just my opinion -- it's far too hard to control. Also I find whenever I used AT, it left my hands and fingers sore. Not good. For the life of me I don't get the big deal of AT on the Nautilus. And while the Nautilus sounds awesome, I find the lack of RT controls and the goofy case design, I'm pretty sure I may have to look at Nord or the new Montage. My Kronos is 10 years old and I don't want to buy a used one. Of course, if Korg decides to release a Kronos 3 sometime in the near future, please take my money.
  16. No, I think the conundrum is that Korg's flagship is a huge step backwards from the Kronos. I certainly get that you're never going to make everyone happy, but this flagship is certainly a disappointment to most Kronos users.
  17. If you want to speed up the starting time, for live use only load the samples you use for live use. I do this with the Kronos. I only load the German Grand. Decreases the start-up time considerably.
  18. I wouldn't hold my breath for anything new from Korg. I pray I'm wrong because the Nautilus is a non-starter for me. I have a feeling this year's NAMM is going to just be ho-hum keyboard-wise. Korg is forcing me to take a hard look at the new Nord Stage 4.
  19. I'd like to see someone do a video on song mode in the Stage 4. (I know there's no song mode on the 4) But the equivalent on How to change programs/voices/patches within a song on the fly. I use a Kronos and the setlist feature is fantastic. On the Kronos i have the name of the songs in each of the boxes on the screen and use the Karma scene buttons to turn on/off various programs/splits all without cutoff of sound. It's almost too easy. Since the Kronos is discontinued and the replacement is the Nautilus (a completely neutered Kronos lite) I'm looking at the Stage 4 as a replacement to my Kronos. My Kronos is ten years old and I think it would be foolish to buy a used one knowing it's been discontinued. Thanks.
  20. I've always been interested in the Vent, but lack of midi turned me off to it. If Neo made what you describe or half rack would be even better, you can count me in on getting one.
  21. You have GOT to be kidding me !!!!!! This is beyond crazy chops. I QUIT !!!! I QUIT !!! I'M NEVER TOUCHING THE KEYBOARD AGAIN. Time to work on my golf game.
  22. Yup. That was him playing sax. Incredible player. Hell of a showman too. He'd be knees on the floor, sax pointing at the ceiling, leaning back, just killing a solo. Audience loved it.
