  1. a pair of Alto Truesonic TS210s. 10's, 22lbs, and two side handles. Not the best sound I've heard by far, but they seem ok for stage monitors. I needed something light and inexpensive.
  2. "Building The Wrecking Ball", a documentary about the making of Emmy Lou Harris' Wrecking Ball album. A look at Daniel Lanois production genius. Can't find a video clip though, I think it may be copywrite protected.
  3. thanks for the Art Tatum. i haven't listen to him in awhile. he was amazing
  4. speaking of Daniel Lanois, I found this on WFUV site. He was a studio guest. Here he is all over the knobs and sliders/programming .... I found it fun to watch. He is an amazing talent and really creative- IMO.
  5. Me too. I don't even need to dial it in, plug it in or adjust the volume. It goes where ever I go.
  6. I'm going to double dip here. I've been listening to some songs that don't have keyboard tracks, but I my own interpretation of them using keyboards. I think they are nicely written and moving. Lately I'm focusing on songwriting and my own take on covers. Damien Rice: [video:youtube] Gaslight Anthem: [video:youtube]
  7. I've been listening to Phantogram lately. Really liking "Fall In Love". utube Phantogram Fall In Love
  8. That's great Eric! Good to hear the PX-5S played very well. TAT has a great voice also.
  9. Just got a copy of All My Friends. A tribute concert to Gregg Allman, with many top notch players, such as Chuck Leavell, Rami Jaffe and Gregg himself. I was watching a bit of the DVD version at out bass players place. Chuck was taking a great piano solo and it took the camera guy a minute or so to show him. No respect.
  10. Cool, good stuff Bob. I always loved the organ of Nantucket Sleighride also.
  11. One blues riff by Benmont Tench on Tom Petty's "Into the Great Wide Open" in the second verse. Very simple, but very tasteful, very nicely placed in the song. Love the sound of the Wurly. It's his only riff in the song though.
  12. Anyone using a keyboard bench with a back rest? Been having back problems with using a standard bench. Any recommendations. I've looked at the On-Stage Stands DT8500 Throne with Backrest at Sweetwater http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Throne/ and ProLine PL2100 Musician's Performance Chair http://www.music123.com/accessories/proline-pl2100-musicians-performance-chair at music 123 (this one I tried at Sam Ash and didn't like it much.
