About AndreaAgnoletto

  1. Hi Bill... no worries! Exactly... we refer to parts for "vintage" crumar products (from 1965 to 1983)... as you can understand, we got a lot of emails from people looking for CEMs, SSM, discountinued integrated circuits ecc ecc. All for vintage crumar keyboards and that is not our business. By the way... about our products... we have all the spare parts you may need :-) Andrea
  2. Hi Bill, I'm a little bit confused...You sent us an email this saturday evening, I was planning to reply to you today (monday). Then I bumped into this conversation here... Why did you write that we do not sell spare parts? I never said that, as a matter of fact I still have to aswer to your email. Of course we have spare parts! We must have them! Just please, give us the time to reply :-) Cheers Andrea Agnoletto
  3. Yes: be sure your instrument is updated with latest firmware. 90% of the latest improvements we did on firmwares was exactly to keep the instruments compatible with all the recent updates of operating systems and browsers regarding security. And... the "password reset button" is used for reset the password, if that is not your goal, just please don't do it. Andrea
  4. Thanks! Well... the fact is that time passes (I remember 10 years ago people calling us "the boys at Crumar"... unfortunately we are no more "boys" ahahah). We started like a micro business but, years later, and after 2 movings, I think it's not correct to still consider "Crumar" a one (or two) man operation. As a matter of fact there's me, Guido (yes, the GSi software is a different company), someone in the customer service, 6 people in the assembly line and rsp for production, one in the administration. We have few external collaborators mainly for software and design. We don't do selling anymore (at least in Europe), because we have a partner company in the Netherlands for this, and there, there's someone working for us. I need to add that, during the years, we outsourced many processes, we don't manage accessories directly anymore for example since 3/4 years, if we still had them in-house, we would probably have 2 more workers :-) Many people are still a little bit amazed when they write us emails and often I'm the one replying... well that's simply because I like it and I think that customer support is probably the most importanti thing and... I like to have as much as I can under control. Just to clarify the Crumar/GSi relation: it's easier than it seems. As a matter of fact we consider "CRUMAR", "GSi", "GMlab" only brands... and the manufacturing company, the building (the one I'm in from monday to friday, sometimes also in the weekends), the assembly line, the R&D, call it what you want is not called "Crumar". This is a choice we made. We are also involved in other projects, we did industrialization for a few musical products that I can't tell you, we also work in other fields, different than "keyboards". I hope this will clarify a little bit. Have a nice weekend! Andrea Agnoletto
  5. Just curious: where does this information come from? Sorry to say but it's not correct :-) Andrea Agnoletto
  6. All our instruments, with internal or external power supply, are suitable for every country all around the world accepting from 100 to 240v. On most of them you will also find US and EU power cord. Andrea Agnoletto
  7. First problem: bubble of second contact is dirty, unfortunately it's a known issue with this kind of technology, need to clean that bubble. Sometimes is only "lazy": try to tap that key with some kind of force, sometimes this will solve :-) Second problem: not a problem but a feature ;-)
  8. It was super funny! Direct online video streaming wih facebook: people connecting, asking and make questions in real time, Max replying in real time
  9. This is the case when words can't solve the puzzle: only hands :-)
  10. Our instruments would like to reflect our way of thinking about keyboards, in all aspects: sounds, design, action, feelings. But, again, it's OUR way of thinking, not necessarily the common sense. First of all, we need to be satisfied as musicians and as keyboards (vintage keyboards probably better) lovers. TP40 for Seven was not an option, probably good for acoustic pianos, probably good for you, probably not ideal for another one. The keybed we have choosen is ideal, first of all, for us. I'm not informed about mods made by other manufacturers in the TP100LR , and I'm not sure that this is possible: what I know for sure is that you can't order one model with "stop" at the bottom and another one without it... in our experience, when you are dealing with "hammer action keyboards" the chassis of the instrument is a part of the keybed itself and can make a big difference.
  11. Sorry for jump on this but I really would like to point out two things: 1) Action: Seven is designed mainly for electric pianos... do you really think we decided to select that kind of keybed only for cost/weight reason? We tried ALL KEYBEDS both from "that famous italian brand" both from other Chinese manufacturers, and our choice was made for that model because, in our opinion is best fitting for electric piano experience. 2) Acoustic piano: same reason... we are talking about an instrument designed for electric pianos first of all. Do you want to know the truth? We decided to add acoustic in November 2017. Before that date, and all prototypes made, were without acoustic piano sound. I know it's not so easy to understand something different than what we had been used to for decades (digital piano = first sound = sampled grand piano) but, please try to place "Seven" in the right place, comparing it to something REALLY similar: similar in design, similar in sounds (fully modeled), similar in price. Find one please ;-)
  12. Sounds in FM synthesis and PAD are not sampled. Yes, manual is available to download in our web pages, here you will find details about physical modeling sounds and sampled sounds.
  13. Time for some tech informations and background Why TP100LR instead of TP40? For two reasons: first one is obviously the weight, TP100LR is ligher. Second is the action; you need to keep in mind that this is not "another stage piano", Seven is focused on electric pianos MODELED and the feeling and action of TP100LR is way better for this purpose. About acoustic piano: first decision was not to include acoustic piano into Seven, just to send a message and define the product tag; later, a side project we had for acoustic piano synthesis, has taken a step forward due to some tech reasons... so we decided to include it into Seven. But, please, remember: main focus of Seven is not acoustic piano... market is full of acoustics and stages based on samples from USD 200 to USD 4000, we would like to be OUT of this. Can you please tell me, apart from VSTs and plugins, how many hardware instruments are present in market now with modeled acoustic and their prices? We really hope you will understand the message behind Seven; it's all in the "logo": bright red when you are playing a modeled sound, dim red when you are playing a sampled sound. Every modeled sound into Seven does have the sampled counterpart: so, if you would like to have the vibraphone in all 73 keys, simply choose the sampled vibraphone sound, anyway present inside Seven
  14. Hi Guys, I want to point out some few things about the new update both for mojo and for mojo61. This update changes basic settings of rotary simulation, the Algo for it is different (you can see details in the txt file together with the update). But, rotary simulation is an important, maybe one of the most important part of tonewheel sound... but it's not the only one! Switch to a new version of rotary simulation, changes drastically the "sound" result and this means that tonewheels setting the before could give one particulare result, now give another result. Luckily mojo and mojo61 are adjustable in the settings "pre-rotary" is such a deep way that will be easy to find out a new and improved "sound" result... starting from the 20 (22) different tonewheels, scaling, resistor wires... really a lot of different shades there for you to play around. At the end, such level of details, are there exactly for find the right sound for you...
