  1. Just downloaded. Haven"t tried it out yet with my Legend but sounds great on touch screen.

As of now though, no midi learn. The midi map seems to be not editable.

I downloaded on iOS (phone and iPad)

Also, maybe it's just me and i haven't played vb3 ii in a long time but I like the Leslie on this app much better!

  2. There's lots of used stuff, but not too many in production these days. Check the GSI Gemini, Dexibell SX7, V3 Grand Piano XXL. An iPad could also be a way to go. Is this something you'd be using with a particular keyboard/controller? Or something you want to be able to travel with and plug into whatever keyboard happens to be available? One way or another, you'll need to find a way to quickly call up your desired patches.

Something that would plug into whatever board was available would be ideal.

Re: GSI. I do dig many of the sounds, but my DMC122 with built in Gemini, was not always reliable for me years ago. Sold it. Perhaps the module performs better standalone? I would actually would be using my legend solo for organ (always found vb3 really screechy in the upper octave, even for rock and never loved the leslie sim).

On the ipad, I've tinkered with korg module. Is that the best available? Are there other really easy to use apps with presets that don't need much tweaking?

  3. Anything good out there anymore? I see there is the intergra 7, but maybe it's much more than needed for live? It looks pretty complex and many use in their home studios. Also pricey, but an option.

Hopefully there is something out there that is pretty simple to use in a live setting with great sounds. Needs to have a decent AP for rock, great EPs, and strings/synths for Pink Floyd type stuff.

    TIA

  4. The leslie certainly didn't sound like the leslie I heard on the opening videos

That's the first thing I noticed. The Leslie on the other videos got me interested. Very Interested, but yeah, this didn't sound like that. A little disappointed.

  5.

Maybe SV2-73 may be better choice for you?

It would, but I've got to be able to create my own layers without a PC, among a few other issues. I wish Korg would combine the best qualities of both into another product......the "Grandstage-SV".....:)

What about a Grandstage and a add on drive pedal?

  6. Was gigging this afternoon and it started raining. Water was beading on the keys off my Korg Grandstage and viscount Legend Solo.

Covered it a minute or 2 later when we finished the song. Let it sit for a couple more tunes. Turned the gear back on and finished the gig no problems. After researching, I probably shouldn't have done that.

No issues so far, but what should I do?

  7. I bought this app on sale this morning and it runs great on my 2018 iPad. The sound is spectacular and the settings are deep and highly tweakable! The only thing I haven't been able to discover is how to disable the lowest octave selecting drawbar presets. With one 73-key manual I'd love to be able to utilize all the keys, ie: use the first octave for pedals. Am I missing something or is that option covered somewhere?

I used midiflow and turned off any data being sent from those keys to the B3x app. All the midiflow adjustments and app adjustments and some slight latency on my standard iPad led me to just stick with my viscount live and give up on b3x. B3x sounds a bit better, but ultimately, in my loud ass band, no one can tell the difference anyway.

  8. I like buying on Reverb. Selling hurts when that end of the month charge from reverb goes through though.

Also,.the initial shipping estimate is always less than when I go to print the shipping label. That kinda annoys me.

  9. I'd do it every year but don't over oil it. One thing to watch out for is over oiling the scanner. Filling its oil cup all the way up when actually only the wick in the cup should be saturated. The scanner oil cup is located between the run motor and the scanner at the far left end of the tone generator. For a 21H remember it's an older Leslie so parts maybe need to replaced. The motors will have to be oiled in some cases rebuilt? How is the condition of it otherwise?

The 21H appears to be in great shape. Deeper bass notes have an unwanted "vvvvv" sound. I plan to have my tech take a look at the speaker. Mechanically it seems fine. Where does the oil go for the Leslie? Should I use my Hammond Oil on the Leslie also?

  10. Egotistical?? Wow!

I went to see him last summer. Before the show he came out and was playing keys with a father and his kid. After the show, big outside summer thing, he came out to say hi. Talked to everyone who wanted. Took pictures. Super cool, down to earth guy. I don't know where this egotistical thing comes from. I don't see it at all.

Chatted a couple times on Facebook. Dude was super appreciative and modest.

  11. Can you clean your cache of temp files? Or close all open tabs? Try those things before restarting your phone, which does those things .

I closed tabs. Didn't clear my cache though. I'll try that next time. I was hoping not to do that, thinking I would have to log back in to many places that I can't remember passwords for. Ha!

  12. I used sing a couple tunes in my old band. No one complained. I sang really easy stuff and used a mic mechanic with a touch of pitch correction. Anyway, I am not loud enough, sometimes miss notes, and would really be interested in getting better at signing some upper harmonies and be louded with the songs i do sing.
  13. - pick an interval to a song or a part of a song that HAS NO HARMONY (3rd above, 3rd below, 5th up or down) and sing along on that interval as long as you can.

This is a good idea. Sometimes, and even with keys, I can't hear parts with all the other stuff going on in a song.

Also, when singing a, for example 3rd harmony, let's say the song is in C, but the melody note is B, do you sing Eb (which would not be in C) or do song the 3rd of the chord the song is on as opposed to the melody note? I'm talking basic rock music
