  1. Wondering if this breathes new life into the already pretty decent OG Grandstage? Maybe new firmware as they may be compatible?
  2. Any recommendations for a backpack softcase? 61 keys. Affordable. $150 or less. TIA
  3. Does the rolls limiter work on both inputs of the 55p?
  4. The mixer is not powered. It goes to an amp. I should've clarified that.
  5. The band has an old crappy mixer and amp. Anyway, can a powered speaker come off the end of the daisy chain after 3 passive monitors? What about a headphone amp like a Rolls for wired IEMs? So can this work? Mixer->amp->passive monitors-->powered speaker (or headphone amp)
  6. Bought. Pros Great price sounds fantastic So many options and easy to use and access them all Cons doesn't support NRPN, so Hammond Skpro can't control percussion and any other "button" controlled options So good! I wrote the dev with a suggestion to support NRPN
  7. Now that you mention it, I did just move it to the other side of the room.
  8. My C3 (59 I think) has been motorboating for years. I zapped the scanner once and it fixed it. Problem came back as expected so I knew I'd have to have the scanner rebuilt. I keep meaning to. just haven't got around to it yet Anyway, yesterday all of a sudden, the C/V works just fine. Any ideas why this would happen?
  9. I need a rubber Slider Cover for an Axiom 61. One of the 9 sliders. The only place I saw it online it was $8 and $8 shipping. $16 seems excessive, just put of principle. Does anyone have one of these?
  10. Thanks all! I think you're right. I'm gonna keep the RD. I have some decent tones from komplete. Not sure if Im ready to gig with kontakt but maybe...
  11. My ears are just exhausted now from hours comparing the two. I'd Ike to sell one I like the feel of the Rd 88 better. I think Iike the acoustic pianos better. And I like the synth pads better. The Grandstage seems to have a much better Wurly!! I love the Wurly in general (more than the Rhodes) and can't quite match the sound with the rd88. I think the brass on the Grandstage is better too and we use it for Spanish Moon. My ears are spent now, so here I am looking for feedback from you all. FYI... My Grandstage is a 73, rd88 is obviously 88 and I have an Skpro61 (which I'm keeping) on top. TIA
  12. I'll try it. Why mic and not line? Also, I'm hoping the limiter on this thing is decent. Never had it kick in.
  13. Even from the output, and my pm55p cranked the sound was way too low. I don't know if those monitors had a thru or not. Can't remember. But even from the output of the speaker, shouldn't I have been able to get enough volume on the rolls?
  14. Can a headphone amp, specifically, a pm55p, take a feed off a powered speaker? The sound guy had a behringer xair running to 2 powered floor monitors. I took a feed of the 2nd one into my pm55p. I could hear but couldn't get the volume loud enough. Had to use the floor wedge. Why might this happen? Any solutions for next time? It's hard enough to hear keys already, but on an echoey stage, I need my IEMs
  15. How does one route their instrument through one of these virtual Leslies? Do people use this live?
  16. If you put stereo inputs into the key largo and only use the left xlr out to the mains, does the key largo sum to mono or does it only send the left side of the stereo signal, giving FoH only half?
  17. Awesome info. Thank you!
  18. Good points. Thx. We play small to mid size bars mostly. PA does keys, vocals, micd guitars, micd drums
  19. Some mention that their clonewheels and other keys sound better through an amp, something like a motion sound kp500s or other motion sound. What are your thoughts? Does it make a difference going to FoH for the audience coming directly from the keyboard or key largo? Right now I either use a wedge, powered zlx12, or Shure 215 iems. Would it sound better for me on stage?
  20. I didn't start until my 20s and tried to learn from CDs and other people. YouTube and such. With my mediocre ear and talent I'm way behind where I should be with many bad habits in addition
  21. Well you know your stuff and I won't challenge that. Perhaps it's my zlx's. I'm going in ears tonight. Haven't tried that in years, so we'll see
