  1. I also had it done in both eyes. I had reading glasses for a few years before and my vision quickly got worse over the course of about a year due to the cataracts. I had Vivity lenses put in both eyes about two weeks apart and my vision is 20/20 again. I haven't needed the reading glasses since the surgery and should never need them again.  Best of luck!

  2. Yeah, I was going to say Dave Weiser is the authority on Kurzweil stuff.

Kurzweil doesn't exactly support seamless switching between sounds and I don't think they claim to. It seems to work well enough with individual programs, but not in multis and not at all if you use the KB3 engine. AFAIK, only the Korg Kronos, Korg Nautilus, a couple of the Roland Fantoms, Yamaha Montage, and some Nords support that (and if you use the Fantom's organ engine, all bets are off).

  3. I've been working on a successor to the ProSoloist+ rack unit I made years back, I think it was in 2009. However, the current component shortage has made it almost impossible to proceed with the project, and that is annoying the hell out of me right now. Incidentally, I was looking in my archives the other day and found a demo VSTi that I had intended to use to demonstrate the emulation algorithms developed for the rack unit. I can share it if anyone's interested. Executables or zip files cannot be uploaded here, but I can try to make it available some other way. It's Windows only, unfortunately.

Joachim - I didn't know you were on this forum. I've emailed you about one of those rack units, but ended up using samples in a Kronos live for the Genesis stuff. I'd be interested in the that demo VSTi, but I'm strictly a Mac guy now.

  4. Nic is a solid drummer. There are already a ton of YT videos of the tour if you're curious, including a full-length, multi-camera shot of the entire show and a full high-quality audio boot. Phil's singing is noticeably hindered by his condition, but he manages well enough and there are 2 backup singers.
  5. In the latest vids, it looks like Tony is using an old Korg 01/W fd (prob as a controller - doesn't look like there's any audio cables), some type of Roland 88 and his Oasys again. There's a Macbook on the rack, so I'm assuming mainstage or similar.

Yes, I believe the 01/W and Roland keyboards are controllers with sounds coming from Mainstage and the OASYS. I couldn't tell from the pictures whether Tony had that large rack of modules he used on the last couple of tours. A rig rundown/interview would be awesome.
