  1. Working on a sequel to my soon-to-be released debut solo CD. Here is the proposed title track of said sequel - Return To Galacticon.
  2. had to replace my trusty old K240M headphones (cable is getting too frayed near the headphones). Got the Beyer Dynamics DT770 Pro 250 Ohm. Went closed back since my studio is in an apartment, next to a highway, across from a railroad tracks. Not to mention I am going mobile this time next year moving the heart of my studio into a 32' travel trailer while my wife and I enjoy retirement.
  3. I have NO idea how I missed this the first few times around!!! Very well done guys! Jay
  4. OK, I am at work, in the office, with most of my staff, and saw this thread. Oh man, did I laugh, again, and of course they all looked over at me. As their supervisor, I am supposed to set the example, but I had a few slow minutes, came across this, and they will probably hang this over me for the rest of my tour over here. Of course, none of them are musicians, so the whole joke was lost on them. They looked at the "tabs" by 09, and I saw the "deer in the headlights" look. I still had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. It wasn't really worth trying to explain to them. Thanks for the bump. Absolutely brilliant! Cheers Jay
  5. Tama Imperialstars with Zildjian and Sabian cymbals. Have had this kit since the late 70's. Jay
  6. I guess it's my turn. Hi, My name is Jay, and I'm a keyboard player (everyone says, in unison - Hi Jay). I have been aound this site on and off for a few years, but I took the internet off my computer after a few devastating crashes, and am using the one at work (don't tell the boss). My musical interests are rock - in all of it's glorious forms, especially arena rock (a la Skorpions/Bon Jovi/Def Lepard), art rock (a la Kansas/Rush/Toto) progressive (a la Happy the Man/Dream Theater/Spock's Beard). I also love contemporary classical-ish stuff, and really appreciate (don't laugh) John Tesh's stuff. I have found a lot of instrumental pieces that appeal to me, and like stuff by a wide variety of artists in many styles. Anyway, my gear has changed through the years (starting in the mid 80's) began as a DX7, DX27, MT32, Matrix 1000, Juno1, TR505, RX7, QX7, and has morphed through the years into a workable studio that includes: Alesis QS8.1, QSR with most of the QCards, D4; Korg 01w/pro, Wavestation SR and M3R; Kurzweil K2000 with all the toys; still have the Oberheim Matrix 1000 (black one); Yamaha TX7 hooked to a Peavey Spectrum Analog Filter; a home-made 1.3GHz, 512Mb PC running: Sonar 2.2XL, Sound Forge 6, Acid Pro 4, Pro 52, B4, Plex, Reaktor, LM4, Battery, T-Racks, and just downloaded the Reason demo, sounds cool, and looks easy to use. I currently play in my church's worship band, and have played in a touring Christian rock band known as Sojourner (based out of Baltimore). I also do work for some local radio stations and PBS. Just thought I'd drop a line. BTW, the e-mail address went with my service, it is no longer applicable. I can be reached at jay.neubauer@us.army.mil. Noo, I'm not in Iraq, darn!!. Not that I have anything special to offer, but that's what I'm trained for.
  7. Wow, did I take my time replying, or what?! Sorry, Uncle Sam called. Anyway, I'm Jay, 39 years old, musician since age 5, keyboard player since 1985. 1st keyboard (are you ready) - Korg poly800. Oh, surprise. Anyway, I am currently the music director and keyboardist for the church I attend in Maine, and do instrumental music-for-hire stuff to help make ends meet. I have been in bands since age 13, and there are days i miss the rush of a great crowd, but my life is just a little too hectic to do it much anymore, I am a self-employed residential contractor. No, I am not looking for any more work right now, thank you for asking, but if you know a few skilled carpenters, I could use the help. Anyway, I ramble. Current gear: Fatar studio 88 w/ proformance Roland MKB300 w/ MKS20, Obie Matrix 1000 and Alesis QSR (Classical and Sanctuary cards) Ensoniq SQ80 (yes it's ancient, but with 3 oscillators, it does rippin analog wanna-be stuff) with Peavey spectrum analog filter Yamaha tx7 (I must have 10,000 sounds for this thing) Alesis d4 Pentium II 500mh w/128 megs and 60 gb hd cubasis vst (new) cakewalk pro 8 Dreams: K2600 maxed out, Maybe a triton or rack bigger faster computer and lots of soft synths/plugins See ya round the forum. Jay
