  1. Well I answered my own question - they all have to come out (except for the rubber feet and the front metal panel screws). Yeah. I completely took this baby apart, found the faulty rubber contact, and fixed it. So now I'm an expert, LOL.
  2. I remember years ago someone on this forum posted photos of taking apart a Roland FP-4. I want to get inside to fix a rubber key contact, and with so many screws on the bottom, I want to make sure I only remove the ones necessary to get me access to lift off the cover and get access. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
  3. Ok thanks for the helpful info. I will see if there is an authorized dealer in my area. I may also try that suggestion of swapping out the contacts from the very bottom of the keyboard. - I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the input fellas. 👍
  4. Tried the compressed air and tipping upside down - no luck. Looks like I will taking out a whole bunch of screws to get inside that beast.
  5. Thanks for the advice. I wanted to avoid taking the thing apart but if cleaning things from the outside doesn't work I don't think I'll have any choice. It is only the one key that is causing the problem.
  6. That's kind of what I thought - I will give that a try.Thanks!
  7. Yes I know I've more than got my money out of this keyboard but I'm trying to extend its life a little longer. I have one key that is acting-up and if someone can help me with this I will be forever grateful 😁. When I press the key down the volume is normal but when I release the key it plays the note for a fraction of a second at maximum velocity. (See attached Video) Any help is greatly appreciated!! I remember someone on this forum (I think it was user Jazz+) knew a lot about theses keyboards. FP-4_Problem.mp4

  13. Wow SK - that bass work is amazing!! I love all the little cameo appearances you have come in from time to time with the drums and organ. ;-) The bass really sounds amazingly realistic and then when the horn section comes in - wow - totally wild. Thanks for putting this up!
  14. Thanks Dave, LB and SK! Love the "new title" SK.
  15. Keeping the thread alive and wishing everyone a Happy New Year! A song that is sometimes a bit on the sad side - giving it a positive spin here: http://www.divshare.com/download/13655205-2fa Using Pianoteq piano with a Band-in-a-box back track.
  16. SK - I could listen to the music from this session all day - really fantastic! Beeboss: Love your version! (I left you a more detailed comment on the YouTube post of your performance here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgWQ_-suYw4) and to answer your question about a trio CD for SK - YES!! I'm sure he will provide details, but rumor has it that his CD will be available on CdBaby in a few days or so! ;-)
  17. Beautiful Bossa - haunting melody. Great playing as always, SK. Which piano is that - Galaxy? Sounds fantastic!

  21. Very beautiful playing SK with extremely rich harmonies and textures. The EW/QL piano sounds fantastic and has a great dynamic range which fits well with your playing style.
  22. David - Congrats on the new piano - it really sounds great! I can tell the touch allows for terrific expression and dynamics. Both pieces are played with rich harmonies that do justice to such a fine instrument. ;-)
  23. Excellent SK. The piano sound is very realistic. The chord progression has certain familiar qualities but has unexpected resolves that make it intriguing and captivating. Your playing is outstanding throughout and the accompaniment is done tastefully. Very enjoyable listening.
  24. Wow SK - amazing!! The layers mesh so well and everything has its own place/space in the sonic sphere. Most excellent!!
  25. SK - I think I also hear hints of "How Insensitive" in there - that's a good guess.
