  1. I’ve been using the IEM active-ambient approach. My band can hit 105-110 dBA depending on venue/stage. Outdoor shows are generally easier. I start out with a really low stage volume though the IEM internal mics (supposedly -24dB according to IEM spec). I then add some keyboard wedge (time/gear permitting) as needed to get a sense of stage keyboard level. The wedge also adds a bit of body to the keys as opposed to monitoring with just IEMs. Then I add some keyboards to my IEM mix. Just enough to add some clarity but stay balanced. I control everything. Not a perfect system as it sometimes takes some hit/miss tweaking throughout the set to adjust for stage dynamics or keyboard settings. The system keeps me playing live somewhat, but admittedly, the overall experience is not ideal. I try to use them as electronic earplugs but if the stage mix is bad I just have to suck it up. Some gigs are better than others. Coming to terms that I’m getting too old for this. Dave
  2. The ASI 3DME input is stereo via a 3.5mm TRS input.
  3. Bill Axman from Alltek. Great tech. He will come to you.
  4. I had a similar message with mine at first turn-on. I should have taken a picture of the error but it did include "contact support". Mine also cleared upon a power recycle. I do recall having left a sus pedal on the lower manual when I turned it on the first time so there were keys depressed. I removed the sus pedal, rebooted and all was good. The error never did return. No problems since. Nice board. Dave update: Looks like I did take a pic. Had to look back in my photos. It's the same KEY SCAN error as DontShoot posted though mine was during boot up. The KEY SCAN error kind of relates to my scenario where the sus pedal was sitting on the lower manual.
  5. I had similar issues. My mojo 61 wifi interface no longer works - doesn't broadcast. I am able to connect using the Mojo 61 usb output connected to a MacBook pro via the Microsoft Edge browser and using Crumar's online editor: https://www.gsidsp.com/Mojo61/ I think some browsers have trouble with this. I recall Safari and Firefox not working. MS Edge does. Hope this is helpful Dave
  6. Thanks. Good idea. A tray design would maintain some rigidity across the span and reduce sag. I was worried about the sag.
  7. Has anyone hard-cased an SKX Pro? I'm looking for ideas to utilize the lower manual space for the expression/sustain pedals. Thought about a removable bridge/shelf that extends from each side that is supported either from the case or the organ end pieces. I had a case made with a separate side-storage compartment but it's too long for my tastes. Going to modify case length to just fit the organ. Would appreciate any case design knowledge out there. Thanks, Dave
  8. If you need IEM stage ambience check out the Sensaphonics/ASI Audio 3DME Gen2 IEM system. System is based upon internal mics. Works pretty good in my application. I have to keep levels down for my damaged hearing. Stage volume and wedges did their damage over the years. Having the ability to add some stage to my keyboard mix is very nice, though sometimes I run out of mic attenutation and end up turning the internal mics off. Still, I can hear enough stage mix through the silicone to feel the groove. Looks like they did a few improvements in a Gen2 model. https://www.sensaphonics.com/products/3dme-bt-gen2-music-enhancement-iem-system https://asiaudio.com/products/universal-dual-driver I would like to try the apple/bose active noise canceling stuff for everyday activities Dave
  9. I used an SKB iSeries 4719 when I had an SK2. It just fit the case. Served me well. I too am looking for a hard case option for the SKX Pro. Hammond increased the front-to-back width on the SKX Pro that made it too big to fit the SKB case. Probably going to have to go with a custom hard case option if I can keep case weight/size to a minimum.
  10. Topic reminds me of playing a festival generator gig years ago with a B3 that I just started to gig with. We quickly get gear on stage, power on and start 1st tune. Band tuning sounds like crap! Quickly figured out that the hammond was way out of tune with guitar and bass. After the 1st tune, crew tried to run an extension cord from facility ground somewhere. I think we got that up later in the set. Funny moment and a lesson about how hammond tonewheels sync to line frequency. Installed a Trek frequency converter soon after. No problem with generator gigs after that. Dave
  11. Nicely done! His live recordings are so magical. Must have been wild to see his band live.
  12. I had Vahalla Woodworking build a back panel for an A122 years ago. Sometimes the organ gets pulled away from the wall for an extended period. Looks great. http://www.valhallawoodworking.com Dave
  13. I'm also a lone IEM user. I use an ASI Audio/Sensaphonics IEM system (3DME) that has mics built into the ear pieces. The mic gain and EQ is controllable via phone app. Pretty easy to manage keys and "stage" to get a decent mix at a safe volume. You can program the pack +/- buttons to toggle between 2 different gain settings which helps for between-song-chatter or rehearsals. Game changer for me as I've been suffering with tinnitus/distortion that almost halted my live playing. Watch the volume and get your ears tested at regular intervals! An SPL meter at the gig can give you a reference of what you're dealing with. Dave
  14. I'm a Key Largo fan and use it with (2) stereo sources (mojo61, electro). It's small and packs tight for fly dates and super simple to use. I attached it to a pedaltrain nano pedal board with an eventide power supply underneath. I love the independent FOH and monitor outputs. The sound folks seem to like it too. ... attempting a link to some pics : https://photos.app.goo.gl/FWF85bWRVXXxa9HF9 Dave
  15. If you desire some adjustability, the Roc-N-Soc nitro thrones are very nice, particularly the extended version. dave
