  1. What type of piano is that , I have seen Burton Cummings on YouTube playing newer pianos , and that old one sounds a lot better than the newer one's . I just have to say , he is an amazing talent .
  2. From what I have read , do not know if it's true or not , 80 degree weather will kill the virus , so for right now I am hoping for global warming .
  3. Thanks Joe , yes I know Italy is having a real hard time with this virus , praying it goes away soon .
  4. Thanks Elmer and Eric , so by looking at those video's I guess to get a better piano sound I would have get a virtual piano and there is no way to update the onboard piano sound , and Eric the action is great on the electric piano's and so are the sounds ,so I guess for playing piano song's I will just use the electric piano's which work great for doing the jazz standards from the real book .
  5. I recently bought the mojo 61 and I am really pleased with the action and sounds . The keybed fits my hand like a glove , the keys must be a little smaller than regular piano keys .I noticed I can play more accurately with this keybed with no fatigue , The question I have for the creator of this fine instrument is , could you please update the piano sound which is the only low point on the Mojo , and what would be real nice , not shore you can do it , throw in a couple or one nice string sounds in there and maybe a pad or two . I have read the inventors name before but I cannot think of it , maybe Guido .Thanks .
  6. Not really , that stand does not work well with small keyboards , I have another two tier stand that I am going to try out .
  7. Thanks analogman 1 , The organs and Wurlitzer sound nice also , I am glad I chose it .
  8. Thanks lightbg , I appreciate the help .
  9. Thanks Morizzie ,I have no aptitude for computers , everything that was set up on my youtube channel was done by someone from work , the only thing I know how to do is to upload the videos onto my channel .
  10. I have been wanting to get a portable organ for awhile and after listening to the Hammond's , Vox , and Yamaha I thought the Mojo sounded the best . It came Friday night and it is so easy to play I thought I would record it with my Roland RD 2000 Stage Grand . Since all of the strange things that have been going on with the corona virus I thought I would express my feelings through the Mojo and the Stage Grand together with the Ten Years after song I"d love to change the world . I used the Rhodes sound that first comes up , because it is kind of spooky sounding , the video came out pretty nicely , if you want to listen to it go to mike lupinetti on youtube . I still have to read the book on how to tweak it but I really like the sounds in it except for the grand piano . I give it two thumbs up .
  11. If there is any eq it would be in the function setting , it has some type of standard eq which you can turn on and off but when I looked I could not find a real eq section , to take away the brightness I have to lower the lid which in turn takes away some of depth of the sound , not sure if a mixer would help , wished they would of added regular eq .
  12. I have the P 515 , The action to me seems light , fast and easy to play , The CFX Grand sound is nice clean and precise but I find the sound of the notes are not as rich and detailed as my RD 2000 Stage Grand V piano sound . It is easier to play than the RD 2000 . My Kawai MP 11 has a more proper piano action and fuller sound . The P515 is a great piano just different in some ways than my Kawai ,which is my favorite and the Roland which you have to work at harder to get a more detailed sound ,but you will get a nicer sound from the Roland when you do , just my opinion .
  13. I have the RD 2000 and I do not think it would have any problem standing out in a band if rolled off some of the bass and kept the reverb way down , the stage grand sounds really nice when tweaked properly , and for the sluggish keys I have found out if you raise your seat up to wear you are hovering over the keybed it makes it a lot easier to play fast and to articulate much more accurately , you might need to raise the highs on the eq also . Make sure the sound man has you turned up , some of them think that piano should be way in the background .
  14. From the videos I see on you tube , Justin's gigging piano looks like a Dexibell which sounds great with his jazz playing .
  15. Well I was able to get a reply from Antonio Ferranti , they are going to send me a shipping label to a repair site and said that they would probably replace the keybed on my S3 .Has anyone else had keybed problems ?
  16. Its been two weeks since my S3 has needed work done to it , Antoni Ferranti has not contacted me and I had some one from Dexibell contact him and the reply I got is , I do not know why he has not contacted me . Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do . Thanks Mike .
  17. I have the S3 and I really like the sounds on it , I have Japanese platinum piano sound on it which are my favorite , the strings are nice and lush the electric pianos are pretty nice and I also like some of the organ sounds which you can get to sound pretty good through all the different ways you can tweak them , that being said the action on the S3 is not great but its playable , and having the S3 for almost two years its starting to act up . One of the B flats in the bass section stopped making any sound so I opened up the keyboard to peek inside , that's when I found out I have at least 3 cracked hammers on the bass side of the piano . Well the pianos still under warranty so I contacted Dexibell and asked where I could send the piano to get it fixed , in 3 days it will be two weeks and I still have not gotten a reply telling me where to send it .I have contacted them numerous times so I hope I hear from them soon .
  18. I thought since some of these guys probably worked for Roland that they would be familiar with their technology , the RD 2000 has two separate sound engines , I have no idea how Dexibell creates what it does but in the future I am pretty shore they will be doing what I explained in my earlier paragraph and am also pretty shore they are probably working on it right now , but then again I could be wrong .
  19. The platinum piano sounds are a good bit better than the stock sounds , from what I have read it does not cost much to expand the memory , platinum sounds should be stock and the other piano sounds should be extras , I do not think its that hard to figure out . Roland does it and Dexibell is an offshoot of Roland .
  20. I wonder if Dexibell realizes how many consumers they are keeping from purchasing one of their keyboards do to lack of wave memory . The S7 Pro M sounds promising do to the fact they upgraded their keyboard action which is why I have not looked into trading up from my S3 , hope they start putting them in music stores so you can try out the action and see how they compare to other keyboards .
  21. Congratulations ! I had three of them in the seventies , best piano out there for a Rock n Roll band and when working properly the easiest to play.
  22. Hi Paul there area lot of positives for learning piano , I thought I could never learn it but promised myself I would not give up on trying . The best way for me was to get easy to play sheet music and learn the notes then the chords and practice the songs till I started learning , it took me forever but just the act of keeping at it I eventually started learning which got me more interested and then slowly got better at it , it is also great exercise for stimulating your brain and is also good for your body and soul . Learning is always a positive .
  23. Jazz , have you checked out Sangha Noona on youtube , she just put out her version of I Am The Walrus yesterday , it sounds great , one of my favorite Beatles Songs that she plays is Maxwels Silver Hammer .
  24. I like Oscar Peterson but I also like the old Jazz standards and old top 40 songs that Sangah does and enjoy her improvisations , she did New York State of Mind , singing and playing and it sounds great , and very nice playing .
  25. Domi is a great player but she is not my cup of tea either , have any of you heard of Sangah Noona , she plays and sometimes sings on youtube ,she plays piano at a club in DC I think. She plays by ear and is very articulate and soulful , I would drag a video over here if I knew how , but you can check her out ,she is more my cup of tea .
