Plus 1 for keytar! I have a roland connected to a jd990. I think it is fun to try to play along with commercials or theme music. I don't know when it would come in handy but I can play the theme to The Daily Show and IT Crowd.

I agreed. The Nord 4HP was on my short list and I was so disappointed by the action. Hated it. I really like the CP4 action - I just finished my last xmas gig and the board did a great job. Sounded great - one of the bass players even commented how much better it sounded than my last keyboard, which come to think of it was an Electro 3 last year.

Keith Jarrett Rio. In Jazz piano there is Keith and then there is everyone else. I just made it through The Vigil the new Cd from Chick Corea - I don't know - I liked the electric band better - it was good but didn't wow me.

Sorry bad posting on my part I meant today that the cp5 rhythms didn't do anything for me. I will not miss them on the cp4.

one neat thing about the CP5 is that it has five zones with knobs and on off buttons - of course that is for the internal sounds (4) and a mic - I have not tried to use it as a midi controller, this is my live performing board. However having the four knobs to adjust the level of the splits and layers is very useful. I want to know if the music rack I had to buy separately for the CP5 will fit the CP4. And honestly why isn't the music rack included on all models, I mean come on.

I was all set to get either the Nord Piano 2 or Nord Stage 2 76 this week, but now I want to wait and see when the CP4 will materialize. PS- Yes I know there is a big difference in price and features of the Stage and Piano - I usually only use piano sounds but I went to a jam and used some organ sounds behind a guitarist and had forgotten how much fun that can be so it's the old debate about are the additional Stage features worth the prices jump ($1000+) from the Nord Piano 2, and does the keyboard feel between the two models vary.

I hope by staying out of it you mean talking specs or hands on experience in playing the board or shipping date or MAP. I would like to hear more about that...otherwise, to paraphase an old joke, what has two thumbs and doesn't care about nondisclosure/magazine vs website commenting? This guy.
