  1. You all are great - as usual, I get what I come for on this forum: a solid mix of good suggestions, ominous warnings and comedy. Thanks for the help. Luckily I'm only on the hook for 45 minutes.
  2. Looking for advice from seasoned pros â I got called in last second to entertain a retirement community with a Christmas singalong. (someone canceled) Any fun tricks, suggestions that have worked for you to transform it from "somebody playing Christmas songs" to true entertainment and fun? (I normally play in church where I'm trying to keep the attention AWAY from me.) Thanks!
  3. Mine was on a Yamaha C7 but I think it was the ROOM that made the difference for me. I happened upon Sweetwater's HQ and nobody was in their sound studio, and they let me play the Yamaha there... Something about the acoustics in the room made that piano sound soar, and I was pulling some creative playing that had previously escaped me!
  4. I've finally got this foldable K&M Omega stand ordered... Including 2nd tier and tray from Thomann for $290 USD (all B-Stock), including shipping to USA (B&H wanted for $450 for only 2 of the 3 pieces below, with 2 weeks shipping and be non-returnable) Now, to see how long it takes DHL to get from Germany to Cleveland! ð¤ K&M 18820 Omega Pro White K&M 18819 Keyboard tray K&M 18811 White Keyboard and laptop holder After watching the folding on this video, I had to have it...[video:youtube]
  5. Hi. Newbie checking in... My name's Robert Bardwell, and I'm from Cleveland Ohio.. I'm real excited about this forum - just found it today, and I've already spent hours.... I'm currently the organist for the Cleveland Indians, and I also play keys with a band at my church every week. I'm 27 years old - I was pushed into playing piano since I was 5 and didn't realize until I was about 18 that I enjoying it.... At that point I took it upon myself to re-learn piano the wrong way. (which I liked much better) As far as gear goes.... Yamaha U3 - Korg Triton - Digi002 - Ensoniq ASR-10 - Mackie 808M - Shure SM58 Wireless - Sennheiser 835 - Some other stuff I can't remember As far as gear I want goes... I'd love a real studio. Next item will probably be a replacement set of keys for my Triton. Look forward to talking with all of you in future posts!
