  1. I'm busy at work & haven't been on the forum recently...

I've been assigned a new project that has me living at an RV park for the next 2 years.

So, I strung up my ABG with some of those Fender Tapewounds & brought it down with me. I'm kicking myself for not getting a set of those strings sooner!

  2. You mean the one in your band? Hell no, that would be fine. I'd say it was exceptional circumstances ;)

Well, Kramer & Trucks both give the thumbs up, so if anyone, uh, hypothetically had a good looking violinist in their band they would be okay to date them.

  3. She doesn't look that hard to date. She's probably a US made, late 70s, early 80s model, with a fretless neck. ;)

Seriously? Well, you should work out whether it'd interfere with your band. Sometimes when you're in a band with your other half, arguments can spill over into the playing and that can be a drag. But if the other guys are going to go for her anyway, you may as well try it.

Bear in mind, of course, that if she's not pleased with your advances, it could (possibly) get rather awkward to be in a band with her.

Early 80's model in great condition.

I'm recently single (for about a month now) and the advances were made by her. Who am I to turn a girl down?

No issues with the band. The singer/acoustic guitar player actually thinks its pretty cool, the drummer & lead guitar are on hiatus for family & work reasons respectively. I guess the caveat would be that the lead guitar player has a thing for her but never made a move. He's a friend and there might be a little friction, but that is personal not professional.

Regardless, since she's gotten back from a 6-week gig in Europe and found me single she's shown her interest and started making advances on her own. I was really just curious if the old adage about "company ink" applied to a band situation that is not a significant source of income.

  4. For instance, the terms WAGs is now very common in the UK to refer to the wives and girlfriends of celebrities (usually sportsmen) and eventually this term and other acronyms might become a new word with it's origin as an acronym purely of etymological interest.

Odd. WAG is the acronym for Wild A$$ Guess here in the US.

  5. The Yamaha looks like it is the most versital but I do like the PV10. You'll be kicking yourself later if you need that extra.

I'm strongly leaning towards the Yamaha. I just can't justify the extra $80 for the PV10. I almost had myself talked into the PV10 USB that is going for $300, but better judgement kicked in. "Need" versus "Want" and all that.

  6. Yeah... so I tried waking up some of the other parts of the MP forums with this thread:

No responses, although I guess the forum was down all day.

    Here are the basics:

Looking for a new mixer, like to keep it under $150. Considering the following:

    Behringer Xenyx 1204

    Yamaha MG12/4

    Peavey PV8

And this one, although it is out of my price range:

    Peavey PV10

Probably won't go Behringer for multiple reasons, I'm strongly considering the Yamaha. Thoughts?
