  1. Add to that the 50,000 injury lawyers in every city. Every crash results in a lawsuit with rediculous lawyer fees.
  2. I had a good friend with a band. They were pretty good and people sat and enjoyed it. Their regular drummer was not available for a few gigs. We got our friend Juan to play. When Juan was on the drums, people were jumping. Everyone up dancing. Same songs, same beat, but Juan had impeccable timing and knew when to sit back and when to drive the beat. The whole band locked in and sounded tighter. I could never get that using computers, but oh well, it's all i had.
  3. Yup, always turn up the 8 track and CB for that one! https://youtu.be/_CLNIT0PDNQ?si=YgRzwNUNEuyndQGN
  4. "Testament." It was shown on our PBS station. It was the last program before they went off the air that night (back when TV stations went off the air). I remember just staring at the TV snow for like 5 minutes before I could manage to get up and turn the TV off.
  5. I think the Raiders are biding their time until Mahomes retires lol
  6. The most surprisingly bad one I saw was years ago when Van Halen had the lead singer from Extreme as their frontman. I couldn't even tell what songs they were playing it was so bad. I got the tickets free though, because at that time word was out I guess and the venue wasn't even half full. I felt bad for them, honestly.
  7. Saw Muse. Expected great, got great! Evanessence opened, they were great too. Didn't look like an opening act at all. They would have blown away most headliners if Muse wasn't the headliner. A few years ago I saw Post Modern Jukebox when they first started their touring. It was a small venue on the strip. One of the funnest shows I have ever seen. Good players, multiple soloists, tap dancing, juggling... quite a show!
  8. Not really https://www.svconline.com/the-wire/auratone-successfully-defends-trademark-in-u-s-district-court-against-behringer-parent-company-music-tribe
  9. 0815 Or when to say "You could sue me, but will it really be worth all the money you will have to spend defending yourself from my fleet of high paid lawyers?" That's an old school business trick.
  10. It is pretty far from any space junk. It isn't in orbit around the earth. It is at the 2nd Lagrange point.
  11. He didn't leave Motown. He signed a new more favorable contract with Motown. Every album of his was on Motown until So What the Fuss Records was formed in 2020.
  12. Reno has an airport too. I don't think Sky Harbor is a major consideration. I think the bigger factor is that FedEx and UPS both have major hubs in Phoenix. Everything from FedEx ground coming here to Vegas passes through Phoenix. I am sure they have a deal with FedEx that makes this decision the best.
  13. California takes 4.4 million acre feet, Arizona 1.2 million acre feet. Nevada gets 280,000 and uses even less than that. Las Vegas has reduced water use by 26% since 2002 despite adding 780,000 people. Las Vegas becomes unlikely model for water conservation
  14. Problem is, the algorithm is what they sell. Without it, they don't have the kind of ad money they want. They will never change. Further, the cat is out of the bag and most of America WANTS to be reaffirmed. They LIKE the algorithms.
  15. Ibanez AS200. To add salt, I "sold" it to a friend of my brother and he stiffed me for half the money AND had it stolen so I couldn't even repo it. "What am I supposed to do? They stole if from me!" No dude, it was stolen from ME 😤
  16. If you count territories "owned" by a country (is that really part of the country?) then France has a lot of little islands all over. One or two in the Caribbean and some in the South Pacific. But I consider it a trick question!
  17. JJ in Slovakia is in full production. AFAIK the only other factory is in Russia. China closed its factory in 2019. The factory in China manufactured Ruby, Mesa Boogie, Valve Art, Golden Dragon and other smaller brands of tubes. The factory in Russia manufactured Sovtek, Electro-Harmonix, Mullard, Tung Sol, Gold Lion, Svetlana, Mesa Boogie, and a few smaller brands of tubes. I can only imagine that the QC will suffer as JJ tries to keep up with demand.
  18. We should wear masks at NAMM from now on. Just so we don't catch the annual cold or flu
  19. Am I the only one thinking "what kind of hospital lets wild animals into the building?" That can't be very sterile.
  20. The best part of seeing residencies in Vegas is that no expense is spared on the productions. Yes, you can still see Wayne Newton, but the new acts can do anything they want since they don't have to set it up in two days. I hear Carrie Underwood lowers a Jeep from the ceiling and the cast trashes it (you can guess the song). The set designs often use the same people as Cirque du Soleil and get quite elaborate. Even Shania Twain kept me quite entertained. They really are like nothing you're going to see on the road.
