in regards to the GT SOLO -75.. The manual didn't really say which tube was for which.. I gather that 2 tubes are probably used for the effects loop, one is the Phase Inverter...as for the other two, it seems they may both effect channel 2 (scream)...Do you know, and could you explain which is what each tube is for, and how it may effect the overall sound, and which ones I really need to concentrate on to alter sound on this? I have done a bit of swapping in it, and want a little more head knowledge of what is being effected to go along with my ears... Thanks!!!

Myles, Question about the Groove Tube Solo - 75... As I look at the back amp towards the front, there are 5 pre tubes... Left Front , Left Back Center Front, Center Back Single tube on the Right... What are the main functions of these tubes, Which has most effect on channel 1, then channel 2....am I assume that the tube on the right is the PI tube... Any info would be great!! Thanks!

Myles, I have an fender blues deville 4x10 (probably around '93) laying around my studio and I would like to try some different cabs, but all my cab's are 16 ohms... What is the ohmmage on the fender, and can I plug it into the 16 ohm cabs without hurting it?

Myles, I am trying to set up a home studio, and have a 75 foot mogami snake out to my tracking room from the control room...I want to put my amp heads (bass and guitar) in the control room....Is it ok to use a 75 to 100 ft speaker cable from the head out to the tracking room where my cabinets are? Will it adversely affect the sound? I am currently running a 30 foot cable over the floor and through the door, but want to run it through the wall so it looks better for clients. Thanks

Dumb tube questions for Myles: 1: Is it ok to write on these things w/sharpies so you can mark your favorite ones? 2: I have a phillips ECG 5814A and 6189W...What are these? Are they 12au7's? Thanks Shoe

Are you refering to the bright switch on the clean channel and the fat on the scream channel? Do you have any suggestions on what tubes I could put in to give it a little more "3d dimension" if that makes sense in the clean channel, and a little less edge in the scream?.... Finally, there is a blatty noise or "cat hissy" noise when I hit transients in the clean channel...I had changed the power tubes and it is still there. While I know you can't tech my amp from there, do you have any suggestion what it may be? Thanks for your help and time. Todd

Myles, I've had a GT soul-o 75 for the past 6-7. Have there been any changes to its design, or commonly done mods on this thing? Also, what speakers are the classic clones clones of? Thanks
