  1. Well, I don't think it gets much simpler than this. I'm going from the SS sub out to the K10 and I hear both of them. I turn the level knob of the SS all the way down and they both go silent. So unless I'm crazy...(um, which has been hypothesized) I think the implication is, if you're using the sub out for FOH you'll want to be mindful about adjusting the SS level if you need more on stage.
  2. That's what I would've assumed at first. But it is affected. I guess the advantage is that you can control both at once proportionally. There's nothing wrong. It works fine. I was just assuming that if I turned the K10 up to 10 0'clock or so, I should here it easily. But not necessarily if it was being masked by hum/buzz and if the SS level wasn't very high to begin with. Yeah, I didn't realize then that the SS level knob controls the sub output too.
  3. It seems to me that when I put the SSv3 at about 9 o'clock (not loud....just saying), I needed to put the K10 at about 3 o'clock (no bass boost) to get roughly equal volume from it. Sound right? Anyway, that's OK. I don't need to use the K10. I just wanted to confirm the output worked. Maybe the 9 o'clock setting I mentioned doesn't matter anyway because the sub out is controlled by the SS volume control. No, I wouldn't leave the K10 set to mic---if the K10 gain knob ever got accidentally turned up...boom.
  4. I really love my SSv3 that I got a couple weeks ago. But I never tried the sub output until yesterday and it's apparently not working. I'm going from the sub out into my QSC K10 and I get nothing. I checked to make sure the cable is good and the K10 is working but still nothing. Before I return it to SW, is there anything I might have missed? Anything I might be able to check and fix by opening it? (I'm not squeamish about opening things.) Update: Ok, I discovered that this was my mistake. Sorry, Aspen. Two things were wrong. First, the QSC has a mic/line switch on input A which I had set to "line". So the signal was there but it was very low. The reason I didn't hear the low signal was because the amp was on a different circuit and so it had some ground loop hum. I was ignoring the hum because I thought I should at least hear some signal if I turned it up to 10 o'clock or so. So today I sorted out the hum issue, then I heard the low signal. Then I noticed the mic/line switch and switched it to "mic" and got plenty of gain. I guess you guys who have both the SSv3 and K10 figured this out already. It just took me an extra day. :-)
  5. Just got a SSv3 and my first impression is that I like it. But I haven't really spent a lot of time experimenting with it yet because, forgive me but, I received my JB Solaris on the same day so I'm somewhat preoccupied. Two reasons I bought the SSv3. I always wanted to deal with the problem of stereo somehow. But I never bought into the idea of those one-piece stereo keyboard amps because you've got left and right pretty close together so I couldn't imagine how they could sound good. Not to mention the weight. Using two PA speakers seemed a better way. But then you have to carry two which can sometimes seem like overkill, plus you need the room for them. So when I saw the SSv3 it looked like a nice solution to all that. The second reason for getting it was all the positive reviews in this thread (which I've so far read up to the end of May, whew! Almost caught up.) So I just wanted to say thanks to all the reviews by the early adopters.
