  1. Hi Myles,

I have a Germino Masonette 25 (watt) amplifier. I want to use an attenuator and I'm currently looking at an older Weber MASS cone-less speaker attenuator (rated 25 watts) as opposed to a resistor based attenuator.

Can you give me any advice regarding the wattage?

Both the amp and attenuator are rated 25 watts. I do not plan on diming out the amp - just pushing it harder than I can without an attenuator.

Any relevant information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Myles!!

  2. Speaking of which, I have left my Hot Rod DeVille in the closet for a few years now. I've been using lightweight solid state stuff. Since I just moved and was stacking stuff in my new music room to be, and the amp was just sitting there, I thought oh what the heck, and I fired that puppy up. Golllllollllyyy was I brought back to the tube world sans any pedals!

Larry - I have a HRD 4x10 for my backup amp. It is a dependable workhorse and you can get amazing tone from it. I love that amp.

  3. discalimer: I have not gone through every post on this thread so I don't know if this has already been posted - kinda cool though - a whole new level of percussion style guitar playing.

  4. It is really hard to believe that a company would allow all this bad publicity instead of just replacing a defective unit. :idk

    That's just bad management.

Just with this thread alone they have probably lost more sales revenues than the cost of many pedals. Not to mention loss of reputation and future business.

    Go figger.

  5. Hello Myles, Thanks in advance for the knowledge you share.

    I have a Marshall combo: TSL601 JCM 2000 60w.

Basically, the HT fuse blows when it is powered up. I don't even know what HT stands for. The main fuse seems to be ok. Also, amp is making a hum that shouldn't be there. I know this amp should probably be sent in for repair... just hoping you might have an idea or two before spending $$$ on it.

    Thanks
