  1. Hello Mike, only a USB Host -Macbook. In hindsight, I probably should have gotten the 88 key version originally of the Arturia.
  2. Thanks Jose- I will do so. I just found that my Onstage 7350 Z stand has a add on KAS7550 second tier which I ended up purchasing- I will then put my P125 below or trade it towards a Studio Logic SL88. I just have to make sure my iteration of the 7350 doesn't require drilling of a hole as some of the older ones do.
  3. Hello I am consdering getting this + the control surface to upgrade from my Arturia MKII, However, perhaps instead of getting the control surface I could get a 2 tiered stand, and then continue to use the Arturia for controls and transports- perhaps even a second B3 manual Does anyone have any recommmendations?
  4. Tough call: can I go by decade? 1990's- Yamaha Sy55 - i took it everywhere and wasn't worried about it in places Fatar Studio 900 * with my Korg SG1 Rack (my favorite piece of gear ever) 2000's - Yamaha Motif 6- original- built really well Triton Le 2010's - Kawai ES8- *Yamaha P95 and later P145 Roland Juno Gi had built in digital recorder- but sounds weren't good 2020's- same day- post pandemic got Nautilus 61 and Arturia KeyLab MKII In a nutshell- I would rate the ES8 as my best keyboard/piano. The one that really like put on the map in terms of how satisfied I was would be the combo of the Korg SG Rack and Fatar Studio 900.
  5. Its admittedly not for me, but I am a huge Arturia fan. The keylab MKII was one of the important healing things for me that I got as post trauma pandemic isolation therapy. If it had 88 keys , sliders, and transport controls then I would purchase it. However, i think it is great for someone to take on gigs; perhaps a parallel audience to the CK61, but those more focused on vintage synth sounds.
  6. In hindsight, I wish I would have gotten the 88 key version, as I have really enjoyed how the 61 integrates with my setup.
  7. I am hoping for a 88 key MKIII with the top of the line Fatar action
  8. I went to what I assume was my last Sam Ash visit in NYC last weekend. They still had a nice display out, many Kawai piano consoles as well. I won't go to the GC on 14th as they refuse to plug anything in - people I guess are just supposed to stare at the keyboards there.
  9. I had a Fatar Studio 900 from 1997-2010; I really liked it and at 45-46 pounds I imagine it would be more like a SL88 grand. I tried out the Arturia MK88II and liked it, Had a PX350 and returned it as the speakers weren't loud enough but liked the sounds and feels. I am almost conisdering getting a PX6000 or 5000 to use as a midi controller.
  10. I am wondering if the Phils are essentially playing for a wildcard spot again in hopes of upsetting the Braves in the playoffs. I am glad we have pretty much the same lineup as the team chemistry has been excellent the last 2 years. Looking forward to my first game next Sunday. I had opening day tickets but sold them due to the only event I would pass baseball up for- Billy Joel.
  11. I purchased 2 years ago a M1 with 64gb and 2 TB- I find it helpful to have those specs for when I am in Studio one and have multiple different VST's available on different tracks. I would have gone to 4TB but at that point had spent enough. I was originally using my normal Intel 16gb computer for music but would have dropouts sometime. I do have a external thunderbolt SSD, I am wondering would I still have a seamless experience if I put any libraries on that.
  12. I've had one for 3 years now and it integrates nicely with my Vsts and I especially like the transit controls. I almost wished I had gotten the 88 key version; although I think I would have preferred a higher Fatar action . I had a 20% coupon I think and paid around $450 new. I will need to learn how to assign the IK drawbars to the sliders,
  13. pleased the Eagles got in after being 2-5 however there was just nothing from them out of the gate yesterday. However they did get the 7th spot. I wasn't please when the NFL added a 17th game and 7th spot; it dliutes it too much. I could understand and even 18 and 8 playoff spots so that perhaps the top 2 seeds could get a bye. I played the game (not well whatsoever) and sometimes long for the 80's when games were at 1 and 4 only (other than MNF) and winning the division meant something
  14. I think being around 50 vs 25- I have noticed the following things- I wish I had more time to use what I had. I do notice for example, the Korg Nautilus vs the Kronos (even though related) is not a 10 year jump in technology whereas in the 90's 5 years was significant. Also, mostly use Addictive Keys and Toontrack EZ Drummer (version 2 but still similar) for the last 8 year.
  15. I've had my ES8 for 6 years now- the first time I played it I decided to order one- I was blown away by the action for a 48 pound piano. In particular I like the SK5 piano. I spoke to Kawai and what amazed me was the Rhodes was actually sampled in an employee's garage from what I remember (or perhaps brought to wherever to record). I haven't heard the ES920 yet but am sure it is great as well- I think the reduced weight could make a difference in transporting it.
