  1. Let me in!!!! Hi, NYC Drew in the Keyboard forum. Quite the imposter I am. I have a Kurzweil K2500XS, and a $400 deposit on 15 music lessons. My lessons end in January. I would like to play keys (live) for any of the old Spyrogyra gang or do some heavy studio production stuff starting in February. Can somebody please hook me up? BTW, are the "white" keys bass or treble? Or is it the notes on the left hand that are sharp, and the right hand flat? As you can see, I have a lot to learn. I'm a slow methodical (retarded) kinda student, but I'm sure there are many cools shortcuts, tips and tricks, that you guys can give me to get me up to snuff. BTW, I can only practice 2 hrs a week.... ----------------------------- Seriously, I was at the FORUM FOOD FEST last night (11-30-01..NYC), and I met Dan South, Dave Byrce etc... I lurk a bit here, but I believe that words spoken MUST mean more than silence...so, I've been quiet with nothing (much) to add. I am currently not doing a whole bunch of audio...going thru some transitions...often tour as a live engineer and/or tour manage and/or road manager....not much of a studio engineer, but that should change in 2002. I bought some gear, mostly for my own pleasure, working at my own speed. Still working on who I am & what I do, when I figure it out, I'll let ya know. Not interested in grammies and working with big name artistes. More interested in making good music, and keeping as far away from the blood sucking mentality of large record companies and the likes. I'm easy going, and I'll never attack any of youse personally etc. The only thing that really gets me bent is the gal or guy looking find the answer for 5 years of learning and experience in an online post. I'm a strong believer of doing one's homework, doing the leg work, doing the research, understanding WHAT is involved in whatever we endeavor into... That's all for now, the guys and gals at the dinner last night were a swell bunch. I hope the opportunity for such an occasion is floated again... NYC Drew [ 12-01-2001: Message edited by: NYC Drew ]
