  1. Grand ole Opry show, 1957 in St Paul, Mn. We went out back after the show and there were Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. It was cold and snowing they got us cab home. I don't remember everyone who was on the bill but here are a few: Homer & Jethro, Minnie Pearl, Carl Smith and Ferlin Husky. I wrote Roy Clark's keno tickets at the Mint casino in 68 or 69. He was performing there and playing keno after his show.
  2. My comfort food guitar would be my Stella. We left home at 15 and that guitar and my girlfriends voice(probably more that)fed us for 3 years. My first electric was a Silvertone Jupiter 1423.
  3. My first amp was a Silvertone 1482, 15 watts, 2 guitar and 1 mic input. I would like to have had something like that but battery operated.
  4. Sounds like a great amp. about to turn 77 so no new amps for me. If I was in the market I would definitely give this a look.
  5. Las Vegas has gone dark. My girlfriend and I arrived here in 1961 when we were 18. We worked in the casinos for 50+ years, In my wildest dreams did I ever think I would see this.
