  1. The CFX samples in the Montage/MODX are actually newer than the samples in the CP4.
  2. I know the CFX in the MODX/Montage was sampled in 10 velocity layers... Not sure about the Bosendorfer.
  3. It's just hard to believe that after all this time - and how popular this song was/is - and mostly for the violin(s) riff - that no one has come up with a good clone of that great sound. There is a good clone of the violin in the song Come On Eileen for cripes sakes, lol. At :55-1:15 [video:youtube]
  4. I think the guy in this video sort of has the sound close - it just needs more tweaking...? [video:youtube]
  5. Oh, sorry, I guess that would help Yamaha Montage 8/MODX8.
  6. I saw that one - it sounds nothing like a violin, much less the violins from Bitter Sweet Symphony...
  7. Anyone able to voice/produce the violins in Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve on a Yamaha keyboard?
  8. I don't think anyone is talking about those types of things. The complaints are from actual owners complaining about the keybeds having loose keys, noisy keys, uneven keys, etc.
  9. And it seems that many are... There are complaints about the keybeds (both the 88 key and 61/76 key versions) on other forums as well. One guy bought a MODX6 and noticed that some keys were up to 3mm higher than other keys. He returned it and his replacement now has keys that are 1mm higher than others. Seems like these keybeds and/or quality control have slipped. He attached a picture of his new one - you can clearly see some of the keys are indeed higher than others.
  10. They are flying off the retail shelves here in the U.S. All of the major music retailers have sold out of the 88 key version; and most have sold out of the 76 key version (a few have some but very low stock). They are on back order with waiting lists.
  11. Well this thread certainly died down...
