  1. My trusty Typhon can: "Audio over USB -Typhon gets recognised as Audio/USB device. This feature enables Typhon to act as an audio input and be recorded from a computer directly without the use of a sound card. This feature got implemented to support the previous described feature so as the user doesn’t have to connect the physical audio out to his sound card, and so on create a ground loop, which cause a constant buzzing at Typhon’s audio." https://www.dreadbox-fx.com/typhon/
  2. Ok, I was a bit sceptical about rolling the bass all the way down, but somehow it works. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Now we're talking! Mk II sounds the best to my ears and I use similar setting (but Your setting is more radical with hammers and EQ). I will try it tomorrow. BTW I regularly play this tune with my band 🙂
  4. Hi! I an thinking about getting CP73 for a long time. I have a question but I think the answer will be "no" 🙂 CPs dont have audio in. I plan to use external synth that can do audio over usb. Do You think it is possible to feed Yamahas audio interface with sound from module via USB?
  5. To be fair someone posted a video of Michael Mcdonal playing the Rhodes with a strong bell sound and I think the X Piano can nail that kind of sound.
  6. Thanks, I will try this. Even on the video it is audiable that the bark is there but the body in the upper register is lacking (to my ears at least).
  7. Some well known youtubers here. The playing is pretty good, Charles Cornell plays with particular taste and restraint. The piano sound comparison is also interesting (Yamaha CP does a decent job).
  8. Haha, It can not (probably). It was recorded for Spotify so they can make more money. Try seeking artists in something like "Jazz in the background" playlist. They can play, it is listenable. But I think properly trained AI can get there in few years.
  9. Sorry, I was not knocking them down! I ment it literally. There is a fairly anonymous Swedish jazz band that Spotify (swedish company) uses for "jazz for something playlists". There's a video about it somewhere on Youtube. I love Swedish jazz 🙂
  10. This. The machine learning using notation and midi would bring us much closer. A lot of jazz theory is basically puzzles to be solved in a certain way. AI has already been trained to identify writers (Shakespeare for example). It can easily analyze the way Bill Evans approached certain chord progressions. Next thing is microtiming and timbral quality but again nothing impossible. Spotify algorithm already recommends some kind of Swedish pseudo jazz easy listening to most casual listeners. AI can get there in a few years.
  11. Ok, I pulled the trigger and was pleasently surprised. Yes, It is bright but in a pleasent way with a nice body and dynamics. Sounds like it can integrate into mainstage live setting.
  12. Great insights! I am totally newbie to laptop gigging so its very valuable. Btw you get PolyMax synth with AK. Thats pretty generous.
  13. Thanks! For the price its worth trying 🙂
