  1. The inimitable Wayne Famous and The Producers - She Sheila, New Year's Rockin' Eve (1983, I believe)
  2. I picture you at the top step of your dungeon, wringing your hands and saying "bwuhahahahaha, it's alive. ALIVE!"
  3. I've had the Hammer 88 (non-Pro) for awhile now. I had heart surgery last year, and it's a little easier to haul around now that we're gigging again. After reading some comments from Escape Rocks in the MODX thread, I use it to control a MODX6, which provides all the sounds. I'll probably add my MainStage computer back in eventually, but it's pretty nice to set up with a small, light footprint. As for playability, I owned a D1, and I think the M-Audio is a little heavier touch, but it doesn't bother me.
  4. As always, thank you for the info. I have the original Hammer 88, but I'm looking...
  5. She Sheila by The Producers. I was the singer in our band, we needed keys to "fill out the sound". Been playing ever since, LOL.
  6. I learn SO much from you here (we play in similar bands). It's awesome to see your posts come to life on stage. Thanks for posting!!!
  7. I'll check out the podcast. And you're right, Luke's book is great!
  8. I run it on a MBP late 2013. It runs everything (Logic Pro X, MainStage, Kontakt, etc.) just fine, no issues.
  9. I took this photo of EVH at the first Farm Aid, the night he and Sammy first played together. One of my faves. 2020 has been so hard. Body blow after body blow. I"m getting older, and we all gotta go sometime, but Lou Brock, Gibby, EVH...these are my heroes, damn it! So grateful that each touched my soul in a way that mattered...RIP, and thanks for the memories.
  10. Awesome! I played ONE gig on Feb. 22. The next day I went to the ER with chest discomfort, no pain. Over the next two weeks I discovered I had 98% blockage of my widow maker (I'm 57) AND I had a melanoma removed. Then COVID hit. After a 7-week wait I had a triple bypass. On Oct. 16 I'll have follow-up lymph node removal and will finally find out if my cancer has spread (mole was removed Mar. 5). Labor Day weekend I FINALLY got to play a gig! It was glorious, indeed. Two gigs in 2020. In 35+ years I've NEVER played less than 30 gigs in a year. I'm certainly not done yet, but what a sucky year. I'm glad you got another one in!!!
  11. I've been using a Behringer X1622USB for a couple of years, as a sub-mixer and monitor mix for me (in-ears, I monitor my keys in stereo, in the past year our sound company has sent me a stereo mix as well). I've had some down time after a triple bypass in May, but starting with the next gig it'll be a Radial Key Largo and a small mixer (possibly a Yamaha or Mackie).
  12. So impressive! Hope to catch you guys at some point. Let me know if you're ever in Peoria!
  13. I've watched a few of James' videos, but I watch ALL of Woody's Piano Shack! Love 'em!
  14. Somebody once sang "Shave my wife" instead of "share my life" while covering Right Down The Line, and now any song that has "save my life" or something similar makes me change the lyric. I know, I'm a 12-year-old.
