  1. Well, I got my shipping confirmation from Sweetwater! Yay!!! I'll post my first impressions, once I receive it. Good luck, all!
  2. Thanks, man! I held off on pre-ordering, not realizing how long the wait would be and because I needed to sell an existing piece of gear to fund it. My pre-order was placed in June, so I guess thats still not high enough for the first batch. Thanks again! I have renewed hope (like Linus and the Great Pumpkin...LOL).
  3. Wow...lucky you. My Sweetwater rep sent me an email saying November 6th, and I was supposedly in the first batch. Just wondering...when did you place your order?
  4. Lead time updates (per respective vendor websites): Musicians Friend 10-20-2018 Guitar Center 10-27-2018 *sigh*
  5. Well, I did some research and found out that American Musical and Sound is the U.S. distributor for Studiologic products. So, I emailed them and I received a very thoughtful response, which I'll post below: <<>>: "Hey there... Ive had an order for the Studiologic Numa Compact 2x with an online retailer (Sweetwater) since June. The delivery date keeps getting pushed back (currently, 10/6) and I wanted to know when it will be available in the U.S. (it has been in stock at retailers in England, Finland, and Germany for weeks). Thanks!" <<>>: "Hi Tom, First, let me apologize for any delays youve experienced with the Numa Compact 2X. I can tell you it certainly is not the fault of Sweetwater. They have been patiently waiting for us to ship them their order. However, we have yet to receive our first shipment from the factory. Delays like this are common with newly-launched products. I recommend you not cancel your order with Sweetwater, because they were one of the first dealers to order this product and are guaranteed to receive an allocation from our first shipment. The first shipment is scheduled to arrive in our warehouse any day now. There reason that England, Finland, and Germany have had it for weeks is because it ships from Italy. Our shipments come by ocean to the USA and take a few weeks longer to arrive. All the best, Stuart." So, there is hope! Unfortunately, my Sweetwater rep emailed me to let me know that the latest ETA is October 17th. *sigh*
  6. Thanks for the info, Jyrki! It gives us hope...lol
  7. Alas, the "friendly" 'site now shows 10-10-2018 as the ship date.
  8. The "friendly" site has changed their "expected to ship" date to 10-9-2018. This device has been available in Europe for weeks. In fact, the big "A" dealer in the UK shows two in stock, right now.
  9. I chatted with the place with the "M", and the customer service rep there could not confirm that stock would be available, tomorrow (9/29). I asked her if their website would be updated to reflect the new date (if it's not available), and she said it should change, tomorrow (or shortly, thereafter), if it's not shipping. I ordered mine from the "candy" company, mainly because they've been pretty good to me with the last few purchases and because they extend the warranty for 2 years and, supposedly, provide additional tech support (not that they would be able to answer the highly-technical questions I might have...LOL). My order is scheduled to ship on 10/5, but I'm not optimistic. I guess, we shall see.
  10. So, I contacted my U.S.-based online retailer and they told me that they were told by Studiologic that my order should be in on October 5th. We shall see.
  11. It appears that you are correct! I guess I had misread the capabilities of the MIDI Event Processor Plus. The Router is ideal for setting up zones. While the Event Processor Plus does some really cool things, zoning doesn't appear to be it's strength. I guess I'll need to sell mine on eBay...LOL
  12. I bought a MIDI Solutions Event Processor Plus ($149) a few months ago for this very purpose. Supposedly, this is THE device to do external zoning (i.e. to external devices, via 5-pin MIDI). It does all sorts of other tricks, as well, but my main plan is to chop up my NC2X, so that I can output 4-7 zones, each on a separate MIDI channel.
  13. Thanks for your reply, Dr88s. :-) Well, I see that a major retailer in England has 3 in stock. But, I'm not that desperate to plunck down $808.50 (including Value Added Tax), plus shipping costs and duties...especially if it might be hitting U.S. stores in late September/early October. I just wish we had some firm, reliable information, directly from Studiologic.
  14. Just wondering, for anyone who actually has the NC2X... When editing a "synth" patch, do the sliders start at zero when they are closest to you? (like most synth sliders) Or, do they start at zero when they are farthest away from you? (like organ drawbars) I'm new to the whole organ drawbar thing (I'm more into synths), so I'm really excited to mess with those features.
  15. I just checked, and two online stores show availability as 9/29 and one shows as 10/6. For a device that was slated to be available in April, its taking quite a while (I wonder what the holdup is). I wouldnt be surprised if gets pushed back to November
