  1. Studiologic makes soft cases for their keyboards. They have 2 types, and 'Type B' will work for the Numa X Piano 88 because it is virtually the same size as the SL88 Grand or SL88 Studio. No wheels though. I have a 'Type A' for the Numa Compact 2x and it's been pretty durable. https://www.studiologic-music.com/products/softcase/ Looks like an Amazon reseller has it for $99, which is a great price (usually ~$200-$250). But I would double check w/them to be sure it's Type B. Because even though the dimensions seem right, the description states SL88 'Compact' which does not exist (but they do list also the SL88 Grand). Seems the description & photos may be a combination both types (?) https://www.amazon.com/Studiologic-Soft-Case-SL-Keyboards/dp/B07JNJ4VRP/ref=sr_1_16?crid=3LR1X46RHLMIM&keywords=studiologic+softcase+B&qid=1651546117&sprefix=studiologic+softcase+b%2Caps%2C57&sr=8-16
  2. In my case the YC USB to host interface handles both audio and MIDI, connected to a USB hub that also provides power and other MIDI connections to the iPad. The USB hub can also handle a USB audio interface (such as a MOTU 4M or similar) for keyboards that don't have a combined USB audio & midi interface.
  3. Logic remote should work w/o networking if the iPad is connected directly to a Mac's USB port with a USB-C to USB-C cable. I believe this also works with lighting to USB for older iPads.
  4. The video tutorials are also on their support page: https://www.studiologic-music.com/support/numa_x_piano/
  5. Studio Slips https://studioslips.com I've had excellent experiences with custom orders over many years, & reasonable pricing too.
  6. The EXS files are usually only slightly smaller than the original because I prefer to sample every semitone; though I usually only choose 5 velocity layers for each semitone because that"s usually plenty for what I need. Whereas a Kontakt sample library may have more velocity layers & round robins, etc. For example a Flute may end up being ~950mb in EXS, but the original may be ~1.25gb. AudioLayer imports the EXS files at about the same size, and it seems to handle imports very well. I have plenty of storage on the iPad so not an issue for me. Yes, I use 1 cable out of the iPad. It"s a USB C male/female extension cable connected to a USB C hub, so the hub isn"t dangling off the end of the iPad. The hub handles charging the iPad, USB audio & midi to/from the YC88, and USB midi for a FaderFox UC4 interface w/faders & buttons to control Camelot setlists/songs/scene layers on/off, volumes, etc. Camelot"s song setups handle YC's live set changes, AUv3 plugins, & PDFs for each song. 7. YMMV, but I use Camelot Pro with a 2021 M1 11" iPad Pro and have no issues w/ 4 to 5 or more plugins, including custom samples, all in splits & layers dependent on the song/setlist. For me it's replaced MainStage running on a 2019 16" MacBook Pro. I use the AudioLayer app by VirSyn for any custom samples or sounds that I may want or need if they aren"t available in iPad OS plugins or my YC88. AudioLayer has an EXS import function. So using the Auto Sampler utility in Logic or MainStage, I can auto sample any patch I want and create custom EXS files. Then I import those EXS files directly into AudioLayer. I"ve pretty much sampled and imported whatever want or need form Kontakt, Omnisphere, or any other VST/AU plugin and use them in AudioLayer on my iPad .
  8. Hi Dr88s, Not sure it this will help you, but if you're using the built-in Vintage B3 that comes w/Mainstage, check the "Morph" defaults under "Options". I believe the MIDI controller to smoothly crossfade (morph) between the presets of the upper manual defaults is Modwheel (hence moves the drawbars). If you change this to "off" or any other CC in the pop-up menu, that may resolve the problem you're having. I was using exactly the setup you described, but I recently switched to a YC88 with an iPad Pro running Camelot Pro. I still have the Compact 2x and plan to try it with the iPad running Camelot Pro for what may be an ideal light rig.

  10. In Global Mode, Main 1 Page, bottom right: " LEDs Mode The LEDs Mode parameter controls the LED backlighting for the Alpha Wheel, Pitch Wheel, Mod Wheel and rear panel PC4 logo. Set the LEDs Mode parameter to Complete to turn the LED backlighting on. Set the LEDs Mode parameter to Partial to turn the LED backlighting off. "
  11. Too bad an 88 key version won't be available from the start (at least per the leaked PDF). Hopefully at some point it will be, like the SK1-88. And move the pitch/mod/leslie controls to the top so the total length won't be much more than the 73 & only a few pounds more ~28(?). That seems much more useful for a 1 keyboard setup. Perhaps Yamaha will take care of that desire w/a "YC-88" at some point.
  12. I'm also still having the same issue & get the "google re-captcha failed" message.
