  1. Scratching my head about Seven, could it be the perfect expansion for Crumar? A high-quality, modeled piano with 73 keys would perfectly complement the new Mojo. It would seem to expand the Crumar footprint rather than making incremental changes to existing products with marginal up-sell potential. The goal might be attracting new customers in addition to enhancing value for owners of the new Mojo. Would it appeal to the fence-sitters who are tempted by the new Mojo's superior organ but demand superior piano, as well, which together would not cost much more than than the price of the competition's organ. Where else can you find the best organ and a superior piano for those dollars? The other piece of this is the stage sounds and synths available in the DMC. And maybe Seven is why the piano was never upgraded in the Gemini. Seems like Crumar has thought this out wisely, especially if it's a high-quality piano. And, apparently, a lot of time and sweat has been invested in developing the modeled piano. The 73 keys are important, but the sound could sell Sevens and Mojos if it's special.

  5. Presto. Right there in front of me. Thanks, Mr. McS.
  6. Question for the group. I would like to brighten Syn.Str.3 and store it as a patch. The treble control works fine, I would like to store it with the patch. Can do? Also, any synth tips would be appreciated. And if it hasn't been said before, thanks to Jim McS and the others who have made this thread the bible for Sk owners.
  7. Pa, Thanks for the response. I've configured the manual setting to match the preset in every regard. It's a clean interruption as opposed to a lag. Fraction of a second, but a clean break. More like a bump the break is so short. But distinct. By contrast, changing my presets is as seamless as changing an individual tonebar with a held chord. No interruption whatsoever. JohnSC, Some of my own presets don't lag going from one to another when holding a chord or single note but others do. Most of my presets are based on the same preset but with drawbar, perc and C/V changes. I always get a lag when holding and going from preset to manual and vice versa. Trying to find the common thread that makes them lag or not has been a puzzle I've been unable to solve. I wish I had answers to these issues, but if anyone out there has a solution, please clue us in.
  8. Switching from a preset to manual interrupts a held chord. I assume this is because of different underlying settings. On that assumption, all of my presets originated from the my Jimmy preset to avoid this. And it works fine and there's no audible break when I hold a chord and switch presets. I only store drawbars and percussion in my organ presets. Is there a way to copy a preset to manual? Or, is there another reason for a held chord breaking when switching from preset to manual?
  9. The marketing of Spacestation v.3 on this forum should be a case study at every business school in the land. I recall Aspen struggling with his initial posting on this forum. He has been an information tour de force and a model of transparency. What fool said kids own social media? And, oh, by the way, it's a helluva little speaker, isn't it.
  10. The stand looks like the Roland laptop stand I use: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SSPC1
  11. Update. I changed out the extension cord I was running to the Tripp Lite and you have to stick your ear right up to SSv3 to hear any noise. Quite acceptable. Now using it primarily for Extra Voices on the Sk2 and it is really nice, as you all know.
  12. You can assign P-bass to the lower manual on the Sk2 and send the signal to the 1/4-inch jacks. But the lower manual on the Sk2 does not split like the single-manual Sk1.
  13. Hold on, guys. This is only at home and I want to at least try these other strips to see if I can solve this myself first. It could well occur with the new one if it's on my end.
  14. I've tried the SSv3 through several different power strips, the EBtech and currently use a Tripp Lite ECO850LCD. I've run it off the battery side and the power stablizer side. It reduced the noise, but it did not go away. And it's mid-range noise, not hum, audible at three feet or so. My point in the original post was that there isn't a silver bullet that solves all electrical interference. But it's no big deal to pick up all of the strips suggested and keep the one that works. This may be a little like Clark Griswold's Christmas lights. Maybe someone will turn something off and my noise goes away.
  15. I hear the noise in the speaker with no cable attached. I'll check to see if I hear any change with the dimmer activated. But the noise is present with the dimmer off.
