  1. Can this layout that is almost unbearably hard to read on a smartphone please please please be changed? If it"s the banner it cannot be impossible to change?
  2. It"s very hard to read on a iPhone 8 as well, definitly not made for smartphones, which I"m guessing is what most people use for browsing? I find myself logging in far less because of the layout since the change.
  3. Very prominent Rhodes in a pop setting: Everything from Chick Corea with Return to forever and with Herbie Hancock in the 70s with Headhunters. I love Herbies Rhodes-sound in those early Headhunters records - that is my ideal!
  4. I honestly think that no one will thank you for covering barely hearable low horns. With a Hammond you can do things that no guitar player can do or get in the way of. Dont be afraid to take up space and make everything you play and do hearable.
  5. Double the horns with organ, and play fills in between. Vary it with Clavinet. Ad lib as much as you dare. Stay out of the bass register, specially with piano. YMMV
  6. On a related note: today I installed all the 8 upgraded Rhodes models in my Nord Stage. These are the biggest version with most velocity layers. It just so happens that the amazing Swedish rhodestech who have prepared all Clavias sampled Rhodes and wurlys, also have done the work on my 1971 Stage Mark I 88 which I later upgraded with The Vintage Vibe Stereo preamp. Today I played them side by side for the first time and the Nord has nothing on the real thing. Its hard to describe, but the dynamics is probably the biggest difference. It just plays and answers like a real instrument, and even the sampled pianos with lots of bark (like the amped one, no 7) just feels flat when comparing to the real thing. I really didnt expect the difference to be that big. That being said, I didnt gig with my Rhodes, or my new Wurlitzer 140B, unless its something extremely specific that requires the real deal. Nord works great, and theres lots of sonic possibilities with different pianos and fix, but a real Rhodes in good/great condition beats it with ease.
  7. That is an absolutely sick, top notch lineup on that album! Its definitly not my favorite kind of music but Sanborn can definitly play. Not many others could pull that off.
  8. I actually bought the smallest model yesterday after seeing this thread, so thanks I guess! Now I have to wait 45-60 days for it to be built, Ill try to practice some on the iPad app until it arrives.
  9. Holy crap, thats beautiful. That man is beyond talented!
  10. Great sound demo from Swedish keyboard player Jonas Gröning:
  11. Two headphone outs is also a big difference and actually the reason Im thinking about waiting for this rather than the small one.
  12. Estimated MAP is 899 USD, estimated shipping is late spring/early summer. (from Radials FB)
  13. This picture from Gearslutz shows the back with ground lift on main and monitor outs. I will definitly get this! https://www.gearslutz.com/board/attachments/winter-namm-show-2018-jan-25-28-anaheim-ca-usa/720373d1516764929-radial-engineering-namm-2018-first-look-upcoming-products-radial_kl-8-stacked.jpg
  14. I'm thinking about getting one of these but I'm wondering about the split capabilities. Does anyone know if it's possible to use a layer as the left split and a single sound as the right one.? What I'm thinking is for instance: Piano layered with pad (with the pad controlled by the control pedal) on the left side and high strings or a synth lead on the right side. Surely this should be doable? Thankful for any user input!
