Took a little too long for me to introduce myself, since you'll see I've been registered a while.
The R is for Rob, the Kipp is for Kipp. I'm 18 and attending college in Staten Island, NY. I've been playing keyboards for about 7 years (self-teaching, should take some lessons for proper "piano" technique), and I definitely enjoy listening to the insightful and often amusing things you guys all come up with. It's hard to find a person in the flesh with which I could discuss the same things, especially in my age group.
My gear consists of: Korg CX-3, Roland JP-8000, Casio WK-1200 (almost ashamed to mention that last one, but still use it). At my old high school, during my senior year I found an unused suitcase Rhodes Mark II, 73 key (I think); for the last 6 months, I have been pestering the administration to let me buy it from them, as I have been the only person to use it (for the jazz band, sounds and plays great). The teacher said if within a year, no one else is using it, then they will sell it to me, so I wait patiently to add to the gear list an actual Rhodes.
My musical tastes are varied, I love progressive rock (pretty much all the prog bands I love, Genesis are my favorite), but have gotten increasingly into jazz and blues, like Miles Davis, Jimmy Smith, Dave Weckl (you can thank my drummer for that, saw him in concert), etc.
