  1. Happy to share that Uhl posted the 4.22 update files today! Everything went smoothly and i'm really enjoying the improvements! Thank you Wolfgang (and Carsten!). Happy new year!
  2. i hate to write this, but i have to say (for all future possible purchasers of a Uhl HX3 based keyboard) i'm hugely disappointed in Uhl with their inability to offer the update software. I've watched at least three software updates go by over the last nine months since i bought my X3, and have communicated with Wolfgang asking when the updates would available for Uhl owners. He always has some excuse but never an update. Never. At very least he should say, "well, i don't have the update working with my custom "taper levels" and my custom download stuff, but in the meantime you can download the update from the Keyboard Partners website and at least get to enjoy all the improvements that Carsten has been doing a great job with implementing. Then when i get my act together you can have the custom tapers too." But instead we are just left hanging, even threatened that we cannot update our keyboards without risk of totally bricking it, but knowing there is a better version of our very keyboard out there and that we can't have it. Ugh to Uhl.
  3. i noticed yesterday that Uhl posted information on their support page about the update to 4.21 but i dont see a link to download the software anywhere. can anyone give me that link so i can update my Uhl? (I contacted Wolfgang/Uhl via email but haven't heard anything back.)
  4. well, it's been another three weeks since Uhl owners were told to wait for an update for their instruments (message #2780574). hate to be the squeaky wheel, but i can't imagine what is taking them so long to post this update to their site (with whatever tweaks they add). in all, it's been over 7 weeks since the release of the 9.22 update. i guess everyone else is more patient than i am!
  5. i have contacted him. unfortunately i am just told to wait another week, or (more recently) no reply at all. i know this update will really help the sound of the Uhl especially in split mode with left hand bass (i know because i also have a HX3 module and have updated that already.) it has been almost a month since the release of the update!
  6. anybody have a UHL? i would love to update mine to the latest 3.924 but i am waiting for UHL to post the file to their support page. do i need to wait or can i use "HX3mk3_uhl.hex" that is in the 3.924 download folder?
  7. hardware, i have found that when i adjust the reverb amount in real time i don't hear the result but if i change the reverb type (to another setting and then back, i.e.: 1 to 2 to 1) then it will reconnect with the adjusted reverb amount that was previously changed and I will hear it. perhaps other parameters don't get output until some "master control" using these values is changed and then it updates the related parts? The stuck trim pot issue seems to be fixed with rev 3.841 Question for you- how are you able to assign MIDI CC#s like 7 and 11 ? it seems i can only move a knob or wheel or pedal and then assign it to one of the items listed in the remote application, and none of the choices are standard MIDI CC#s. am i missing something?
  8. thanks for the offer Dave. i'll be in touch!
  9. Recently picked up a HX3 to go with my Nord Stage 2... I have read several posts on this thread (now 18 pages and counting!) of people who have used the Remote software to create custom midi CC sets that work with the Stage 2. However, after launching the remote software i realized i'm going to need some instructions on how to do this. Do step by step instructions from creating custom midi sets exist anywhere? Or better yet, has anyone posted a file that i could simply load via the Remote software that will map to the Nord Stage 2? Also, setting up the local Nord Stage menus correctly to work with the HX3 seems to take some doing. Are the proper settings for this documented anywhere? And lastly, are people really finding it playable to trigger the HX3 with the low trigger point of the Nord Stage 2? (From what i can tell the high trigger point on the Nord only works with the internal organ sound.) I'm seriously doubting if that's going to work for me. Well, that's a lot of questions, but they are the baseline for deciding if this is a keeper or not, so any help will be super appreciated! Thanks in advance.
