  1. Has anyone had any experience of using the VR09 with Mainstage 3? I'm connecting to my computer with a USB cable and getting sounds ok (though it's very quiet) but I'm really struggling to assign the volume control on the board to the fader on the software. Any advice would be appreciated!
  2. Just about to take the plunge with a ZXA1-90B... Would appreciate some advice on the following if possible: (1) Is one likely to be loud enough for rehearsals (4 piece rock band) plus bar gigs? (2) Can anyone recommend a mixer (small one preferably as I'm going to have to sneak it in the house....) Cheers!
  3. The Crusaders 'Gold' Herbie Hancock 'Man-Child' New stuff: Jacky Terrasson 'Take This' Bill Laurance 'Flint'
  4. Not using it live (not sure I'd be comfortable playing a gig with it) - just using it for home recording, doodling in the car etc so it usually lies flat or perched up in one of those folding wallet things.
  5. Was very tempted to get one of those. Is it pretty portable? Does it fit in a back pack?
  6. Korg Microkey 25 and a camera connection kit, plugged into Cubasis on an iPad. http://www.korg.com/us/products/controllers/microkey/ Seems like most of my weekends at the moment are about driving the kids around. This is great to keep in the car when I'm waiting for them
  7. Do you ever sort this? I've got exactly the same problem. I'm on my second VR09 (part exchanged the first one and regretted it immediately so I've just picked one up 2nd hand). When I did the update on my original board it was fine - this time round I just get a blank screen and have to abort.
  8. Re the EV7 - cheers Wes!
  9. Thanks. Is this the one? http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-us65020-EX-P-Expression-Pedal/dp/B000NLRWEI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407494614&sr=8-1&keywords=m+audio+expression+pedal
  10. Traded mine in, really missed it (as a second board, for 'on the fly' gigs etc) and ended up buying one second hand last week (half price, barely used). It's a great keyboard for the price.
  11. I bet this has been asked before (sorry): can anyone recommend a control pedal for the VR09 (for organ volume primarily). Would an FC7 work (without having to tweak it)?
  12. Thanks! Will give that a try when I get home. I agree with you about the plain Grand Piano sound - much too 'murky' for my tastes. The V is much better.
  13. I wasn't sure I'd made the right decision when I took delivery of the VR09 but after having played it for a few weeks I've got to say it's a great keyboard. The key pad isn't perfect for playing piano but play it enough and you can make it work well. Everything comes down to a compromise at the end of the day unless money's not an issue....With regards to sounds has anyone come up with a good, bright rock piano setting that'll cut through a guitar heavy mix? I've got tone down and compression up and it's sounding pretty good. Any other suggestions?
