  1. Hi guys, I'm back... once again I have to apologize for not answering sooner in here. Some time passed from when I asked about the Operating System until I got an answer and I gotta admit it got lost under the radar as well as some business travels. I'm truly sorry about that! Just to clear up a couple of discussion on the board. Yes, I am indeed from TC Electronic. Specifically I'm the Product Manager for Guitar Effects, which basically means that I'm in charge of our guitar-side of the business - i.e. pedals, tuners, etc. So about Ditto Looper and the volume drop some of you have experienced. This is a bug in the software and there is already an update out that fixes it completely. The reason why you might experience this volume drop is that Ditto Looper uses something called "gain ranging" to get extra-ordinary high headroom, meaning it can be used with both guitar- and line-level signals. Gain-ranging is basically taking multiple AD/DA converters and setting them to different ranges and then intelligently through software picking the right one depending on how loud the signal coming into the pedal is. Unfortunately there was a small bug in the software which meant that if the signal hit a certain level it would be sent to the wrong A/D converter. The software that is available on the Ditto Looper webpage fixes it completely. @ A String: Regarding the M350 I have sent you a PM. Cheers, Tore
  2. Hey guys, Sorry for the delay in answering... I thought I had turned on notifications to get an email when the thread was updated, but unfortunately not. :-( Checking the thread, I can see that A String did indeed write about his issue at the very top... I thought the thread was about Ditto Looper and footswitches and completely missed that part when reading through the thread. Regarding the M350 there is a both a PC and a Mac Editor available and online now. What version of Windows / OS X are you using? Cheers, Tore
  3. Hi Craig, I'm sorry to hear that! Do you know who you talked to? Also what product was it and what was the problem? Cheers, Tore
  4. Hi guys, I just stumbled upon this thread and figured I'd chime in. As you can see from my signature, I work at TC Electronic, so I'm obviously extremely biased and shouldn't be trusted under any circumstances. :-) So just to set the record straight on whether the Ditto Looper footswitch is PCB mounted or not... it's not. Some of our products do have PCB mounted boards though, but the switch is attached to the chassis on both the front and back so no stress is applied to the PCB board when stomping on the switch. Regarding the quality and quality control at TC, all I can say is that we take it VERY seriously constantly following failure rates of all products coming for service and support. All products that fail within the first 6 months after its released get sent back to development for inspection by the engineering team. We try our best to make products that never break and our failure rate is well below the threshold we've set. But I realize that all this doesn't matter much to those of you who have had a bad experience with one of our products and for that I would like to apologise sincerely on behalf of TC! If any of you have a specific problem with a pedal don't hesitate to mail me directly at tlm@tcelectronic.com and I'll be happy to help out getting the issue solved as fast and easy as possible. Cheers, Tore
