  1. Hey, all! Check out the EP I was producer/engineer for. http://bit.ly/2mgjpxO
  2. Hey, everybody! Check out my latest track: http://bit.ly/2qluyxl
  3. Yeah, I will avoid TC as much as I can, I think. If they won't back up their product, I'll spend my money on a company that does.
  4. I hear ya'. Not much is too loud for me. On the other hand, I'm still living at home, and there are a lot of things that are too loud for my mother.
  5. Who want's to cut power anyway? Turn it up!
  6. Hey, Myles! So, I'm planning on building a 1x12 extension cab for my amp. I have scoured the internet, but I don't know how to figure out which wire is positive and which one is negative. The speaker in the combo amp that I have is not hard wired in. It's got a 1/4" jack that plugs into one of the two speaker outs. I looked at the jack, but I'm new to this and I can't see which wire goes to the tip and which goes to the sleeve (I think that's the right terminology, sorry if not.) I think I've got everything else figured out pretty well, but I just don't know which is positive and negative. Oh, and if you have a suggestion about what wire to use in the cab, that'd be great! Thanks! I really appreciate it! It's really nice to be able to consult somebody that I feel actually knows about this stuff, not just the DIYers all over the web. Thank you!
  7. Hey, Myles! Well, I finally got an amp. Bad Cat Cougar5 5 watt. It has 2 12AX7 preamp tubes and one EL84 power tube. There's a control for the gain in the pre amp and the power amp. So anyway, I got a distortion pedal to go with it. Some very usable tones can be gotten by turning the preamp down pretty far, and cranking the power amp, letting the distortion pedal kind of act as the preamp. Is that okay for the amp, or is it going to put some kind of undue stress on the power amp? I just ask because this is my first tube amp, and I don't want to do anything that's going to stress it somehow. Is that going to be okay?
  8. I've been keeping an eye on the reviews for this pedal on MF, and a bunch of them say that the playback volume of the loop is too low. It's a shame. The idea of the pedal is great, but if you don't construct it correctly, it's just another piece of uselessness.
  9. Yeah, well I don't have the funds to buy something like this right now, because (as I said in a different thread) I'm currently looking for a new amp, probably a tube. And I'm also looking at getting a delay pedal soon after. I like what I've seen of the Boss DD-20 Giga Delay, which has sound on sound recording (basically a looper) with 23 seconds of record time, which would be enough for me I think most of the time. I just thought that this TC Electronic pedal was a good idea, if all you needed was a looper, and didn't want to pay for a bunch of bells and whistles that you don't need.
  10. Anybody seen this yet? Looks awesome. At that price, plus you could fit it in your pocket! Me want one! http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pages/tc-electronics-ditto-looper?icid=202636 ***Title subject was not written by H-A Forgiven.****
  11. Okay. Well, not being able to change modes via footswitch is definitely not a deal breaker for me. I don't gig with my electric at all at present, so reliability isn't all that big of a deal for me. Though it is still important. And "Ultra" is just what they named the dirty channel. What exactly do you mean by, "non-master volume Marshall"? I'm not sure what you're talking about. Thanks again!
  12. Hello, Mr. Rose! Thanks for lending us your knowledge! I'm in the market for a new amp, and I'm really looking seriously at the Marshal DSL40C. I was wondering if you know anything about it? Or know of any problems that it has in design/reliability? Also, it has two channels, Classic and Ultra, and each channel has two modes that are controlled by a switch on the amp. The footswitch for it can switch between the channels, but it can't switch between the modes of the channels. I think that being able to switch between modes with the footswitch would make this close to the perfect amp. And I wonder how hard it would be to do a mod on this and put a switch on the footswitch to switch between modes? I'd appreciate your expertise on this. thank you!
