  1. I could never bring myself to enjoy CCM in the church. IMO, No. 1, the singability level is low and No. 2 The only people who seem to be enjoying it are the band members up front. The rest of the congregation just sort of stands there. Not inspirational for me at all.
  2. I'm just using the sub out. Not sure what you mean by the other method????
  3. I just added a Behringer eurolive vq1800d subwoofer to go with my SS. The Spacestation looks very tiny sitting on top of the sub but I like how it fattens up the sound considerably.
  4. I don't know if I'm putting this correctly but has anyone discovered an ideal setup to fatten up the sound of a "clonewheel" used with the SSv3 any more than it is already (or make the sound larger, I don't know). Just so people don't read me wrong, I don't think the SS is bad. I'd just like to "fatten up" the sound more to help me feel like I'm next a full-size Leslie. Would a bass-combo amp be the answer? Or maybe a large subwoofer?
  5. But everyone else says they can hear me just fine. Frustrating!
  6. Jazzooo, do you like it in back of you, to your side, or facing you?
  7. So, if you're using the SS as a stage monitor, then is it ok to be sitting right next to it, that is, if you don't need to hear the stereo effect? I'm wondering if I need to position myself closer to it so I can hear myself better.
  8. Having never experienced anything but my SS, I have no idea how to compare it with other systems. But I'm (slowly but surely) starting to get some positive feedback with mine. The sound reproduction is convincingly similar to a vintage B3 My only complaint is that since I'm sitting five feet away from a piano, I hear that better than my board. But I suppose that's a mute point since everyone else hears it just fine. I guess I'm a little jealous of their vantage point.
  9. Some questions about breaking in the SS3. I've had mine for about three months now and it usually either gets played in my 11x12 bedroom or a 30x40 room where I've been given strict instructions not to turn it up loud. So I'm wondering if I've even come close to breaking in my SS3 and if not, is it too late? Am I destined for sub-par performance? And perhaps not totally unrelated, when I play in my bedroom (11x12) I love my board and the SS3. But when I take it out, I don't like the sound nearly as much. For example, the C/V sounds worse and I have problems deciphering what notes I'm actually playing. Why? Is it the amp? is it me? This is really starting to annoy me. I want to love playing so much I don't want to stop but I can't seem to get to that point.
  10. Personally, I like to have my pedal as sensitive as possible. That means my gain is 130 and my curve is set at 3. Do make sure that the pedal is set at REC instead of NORM.
  11. Thanks for your words of wisdom, Aspen. Having never dealt with this sort of thing before, I have a feeling it's going to take a while to start appreciating what my SS can do. But I'm liking it so far!
  12. So were original Leslie's made out of real wood or plywood? As far as the SS is concerned, I'm a satisfied customer (this is my first amp so I'm not picky). It has plenty of power for me and any distortion comes from what I'm doing with my board, not the amp itself.
