  1. I've had my ELX112P for 10 years now. It's the wood version which is a big reason why i bought it, it has a warmer sound than many ABS cabinets and produces a more solid bass. Probably 5 pounds heavier than an ABS equivalent. It doesnt owe me anything....
  2. Not to bust on anyone but have to agree here, I've been using Rapco DI's since 1988 and when listening to my rig, as I invite other keyboard players to come up and play, I'm not hearing any sound degradation in my rig due to the Rapco DI's that I'm using. Also agree with the summation of stereo to mono comment; I've actually brought this up as a topic and the responses received back indicates there is going to be signal degradation if the house is receiving a mono signal being summed from a stereo signal either from the keyboard itself or from the mixer. Also, many of us use mixers between the keyboards and FOH, unless that mixer is top of the line then there is probably some coloration of the sound going into the signal chain due to the mixer. If you connect the output of the keyboard monitor's XLR out (in my case an EV speaker) to the FOH there is an impact there as well as who knows what the quality of those components are doing the signal send. Anything between the Keyboard and the FOH can color/degrade the signal. So the OP might actually have the best solution since he is going keyboard directly to the FOH. 🙃
  3. I generally find his reviews lacking, also i find him difficult to understand as to what he is saying, he has this weird combination of mumbling and fast talking that frustrates me.
  4. Try this inline attenuator, if you dont like it just return it. Link
  5. The one set of drawbars can control the upper manual, lower manual, and pedals. There is a switch that you depress that tells the mojo which manual you want the drawbars to control. Easy peasy .....
  6. You may have already seen this: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/Snxf55fz7SnLigAb/?mibextid=oFDknk
  7. I still have my Vent and BURN but 95% of the time i use the internal leslie on the Gemini (Mojo in a rack). The other 5% is the BURN. I only use the Vent with the Voce V5+ organ module which are tight spaced or quick on/off the stage gigs. Mojo internal sim works for me.... BTW, all my leslie sims are matched in speed and ramp times to my 122. That removes two variables when comparing my sims to the real deal.
  8. I also used Hearos. They cut the sound but i found them to muffle the sound although they claim they dont muffle the sound, but they do. I fought them for two years and finally trashed them.
  9. Hammond chorus comes in three levels, C1, C2, C3. C1 is light chorus, C2 is NORMAL chorus, and C3 is deep (heavy) chorus. It often amazes me that people always turn on C3 then think it is over the top. Although I agree that clones often dont get this feature right (accurate) and in fact most clones are over the top, no one ever considers just backing off that depth by reducing the setting to C2 or even C1. On clones I usually start on C2 and adjust from there. One of the reasons I use VB3-ii (Mojo) is because I find the C/V to be the most accurate of the clones. Guido has gotten that right quite a while ago and has made very little adjustments the C/V in a long time because it was accurate right from the get go. Hammond XK5 also finally got it right, Mag still tweaking theirs although the latest is pretty good. Viscount still not right after many attempts. Hammond pre-XK5 was highly adjustable but not right even after adjustments. The best advice here is to back off to C2 or C1 so that it is not over exposed.
  10. It's horrible. I had an xm2 which has the same algorithm as the xk3c. I had to part with it as it drove me nuts.
  11. Welcome to America. All you have to say is that something offends someone and the internet police are up your @ss. Everyone gets dumbed down to the lowest common level. It's what makes America great .... 🙄
