  1. On the studio version, sounds to me like there's no keys, except on the first verse there's a stabbed chord on beat 4 of every other bar. On later verses sounds like the horns take over that job. So laying out would work well. Also, do you have two guitarists? If not, there's two guitar parts on much of the verse (chords, and single notes), and you could cover one of those.
  2. Very detailed info now online at Sweetwater: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MoogOne8--moog-one-8-voice-analog-synthesizer
  3. As sampled to great effect by DJ Shadow!
  4. Big Donny fan here as well! And we can't mention Lalah without this video - I just love the reaction of the Snarky Puppy guys around 6:00 (and I imagine they're not easily impressed...): [video:youtube]

    SP6

    It's actually at http://ksetlist.com
  6. User manual now available: http://www.crumar.it/?a=support&b=36 Huge amounts of detail in here... including the helpful advice not to try and insert your whole arm in the accessory tray. Couple of things I spotted: the 'pad' is described as a VA synth, and you can connect a USB MIDI controller if you want, as there is no old-school 5-pin MIDI IN.
  7. Weight (piano only): 15 Kg 33 lbs Weight with cover and legs: 23,5 Kg 51,8 lbs http://www.crumar.it/?a=showproduct&b=36&w=specs
  8. Another option is just to use two stands, one for each board - I've done this before with two X stands
  9. Definitely. But presumably some things like the SP4-8 are just there until they have stock of the SP1 and SP6?
  10. Just picked up a Korg Kross off eBay for my new covers band - something affordable and light that'll still let me do lots of complicated splits and layers.
  11. In case we forgot just how good Prince was as a keyboard player... [video:youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ7qGz4eu3g
  12. Full album now streaming on NPR... http://www.npr.org/2016/04/19/474878387/first-listen-snarky-puppy-culcha-vulcha Sounding good one track in.
  13. Looking forward to the new Bill Laurance CD out tomorrow...
  14. I've got the Limina book, and I'd recommend it - it seems well-targeted at pianists who can read music. It also assumes zero knowledge of Hammonds and explains all the jargon, which I found particularly helpful.
