  1. If anyone is interested, I transcribed the song's intro in Musictime. It's not rhythmically accurate because he improvised it in the studio but all the notes are there.
  2. I've been doing my own taxes for 15 years now. Multiple Schedule Cs for both music gigs and my motorcycle business. Key to avoiding an audit is to make sure you don't report too many losses especially in consecutive years. I don't think I've ever reported a loss but I definitely know my depreciation schedules and other writeoffs. Most tax software calculates this for you. I use a free program that basically just crunches the numbers to make sure there aren't any mathematical errors which can also trigger an audit.
  3. I played a concert on a Hauptwerk setup and wasn't that impressed but that was 10 years ago. I'm sure their sampling is much better now.
  4. I play a 26 rank tracker organ at one of my churches but it doesn't sound "big" like this sample. Really curious which pipe organ they sampled for this sound.
  5. Finally figured out that David Rosenthal used an E-mu Emulator for the pipe organ sound on the intro to Rainbow's "Can't Let You Go". This sampler only had 2 KB of memory! Only pipe organ sample I've heard that comes close is the Sanctuary preset in my Alesis QSR module. How could they come up with such a realistic sample whereas most of today's ROMpler offerings fall short?
  6. Isn't it time to start a 2024-2025 NFL thread? Time to move on and start talking free agency!
  7. Skipping most of it with the DVR right now. Just stopped for Stevie Wonder's performance. Couple more hours to get through. At least Metallica won a Grammy for best metal performance this year unlike 1989!
  8. Got mine today too! I'm running a business, though so no big deal. MACRS depreciation will write off most of the 1099 amount. Yep, I went to school for accounting although I'm not a CPA. I guess that threshold must vary by state, OP. That sucks.
  9. I'm still trying to figure out how the OP received that 1099 in the first place. Do you recall providing Reverb with your SS#? I sell a lot of stuff on Ebay and still haven't gotten mine yet.
  10. That article isn't relevant anymore, the laws have changed even since the last update in 2022.
  11. They did before when it was 200 transactions per year, starting next year it's only one. Not sure about this year but supposedly the dollar amount threshold is $5k. This is going to get political really fast.
  12. I thought the IRS delayed the whole $600 threshold for triggering these for another year? The threshold is supposed to be $20k AND at least 200 online transactions.
