  1. There is a WIFI reset button on the back panel. Try that. Thanks after much finagling i finally got the editor up and did the upload.. and man, i love the clav and the pedal wha and pitch bend..and ALL the editing features are awesome.good riddance DX rhodes.. hello clav!! thanks Guido!
  2. no, I did not manually disconnect from the wifi connection my phone was on prior to calling up the mojo ..
  3. Has any one had trouble with the WiFi editor function on the 61. Just got mine a few weeks ago and for the first time last night I decided to connect to WiFi and get at the editor control so that I can load in the firmware. I want that clav!!..well I followed the manual and my cell phone (galaxy S4) found the Mojo in the Wi-Fi scan.. put in the 00000000 password and the home editor page popped up.. great!.. for about 5 seconds.. the the home page darkened and a prompt for a user name and password came up. Tried the 0 factory thing again ..no good.. reset the little button on the back of the mojo...no good.. now I don't have the home page at all..my phone still shows the mojo available in the list of available Wi-Fi connections but it has that little pad lock on the Wi-Fi symbol.. every time I try and connect it wants user name and password. Unfortunately I don't have another Wi-Fi device to try, but has anyone had this issue.. I want to get into that editor and get my clav among other things. Hoping the issues is with my phone ,but I don't know..
  4. Waiting for the next batch of Mojo 61's to hit sweetwater...one of them is mine. Pre ordered last week..p

http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa257/misnjoe/bike%20%20wantagh.jpg.. my 2015 S works Tarmac.. Sram red, full carbon... i ride it like i stole it.. about 150-200 miles a week in good weather..
  6. Just FYI.. The MS500SN has no leslie sim.. it is a Bi amp straight ahead stereo KB amp.. i have not a clue how it would work as a PA. I never tried vocals thru it..I did see the vid where an entire band and vocals was going thru one SS and it sounded pretty darn good..
  7. "But if you are running a Rhodes patch for example, which is a model of a soft tine dynamic design driving a 12" speaker that had no HF to begin with, you will not hear much rotating the MIDS level, and absolutely nothing from the HFQ level...just because there is nothing there to amplify!" Thank you Aspen for the excellent explanation.. I was thinking i had a malfunction of those controls.. Fully understood now... and sorry I missed the already out there info on this back up stream of this post..
  8. Quote from my last post.."Im also sorry that the fact that the SS sounds great to people deeply entrenched in the audience far from the stage just is not that important to me as 90% of the gigs I do i am going thru FOH... I usually give my sound guy a stereo feed directly from the MS XLR's out.. I cant tell you how many sound guys and musician audience members have told me they love the way my keys sounded" Just to clarify, I am always concerned how well i sound in the mix in any room I play in, and as you might glean in my quote, I got that covered.. I am sorry the word nonsense upset a few and was misunderstood..I retract the word. I just wanted the focus to be how well the SS sounded to me onstage as my monitor..A poster asked if the SS would be an improvement over the sound quality HE was hearing out of another very good stereo KB amp.. Having both amps I felt entitled to give him my opinion to help him out..Would love for someone to answer the question I asked at the end of my post (on pg. 143) regarding the controls on the SS..
  9. I never said i didnt like it.. I do think the MS500SN sounds better to my ears, sorry if that doesnt conform to the consensus of opinion over here, but thats is my personal opinion... Im also sorry that the fact that the SS sounds great to people deeply entrenched in the audience far from the stage just is not that important to me as 90% of the gigs I do i am going thru FOH... I usually give my sound guy a stereo feed directly from the MS XLR's out.. I cant tell you how many sound guys and musician audience members have told me they love the way my keys sounded thru their rigs, so i know the sound out front most times is plenty good.. What I care about most is how inspiring is the sound I hear and I have to play to.. That is the quest i have been on..probally why I currently have the MS500sn , SSV3, and two QSC K10's and i am still thinking i wish there was something better...of course these are very subjective matters..and i do think the SSV3 is a great little keyboard amp for it's size and price range..Im just not blown away by it..
  10. The SSv3 will NOT be an upgrade to your MS 500SN as far as making your keyboards sounding better to you on stage...there is all the other nonsense about how good it sounds to somebody out in the audience 40 ft away, but that is not what we are talking about..Certainly my AP's sound better thru the MS and while using a pan rhodes patch the true stereo effect is more accurate, and then of course the extra power.. It's a different animal in my book ..If i would have tried out the SS before making the purchase, knowing how well my MS sounds I would have passed... at this point the only advantage of owning this amp is convenience of size and weight for gigs that i really want to remain compact..but im not sure if im keeping it..Bottom line is, if you own a MS500 ..you dont need this amp..IMHO.... Rather then start another thread i hope someone can answer me on this... the tone control knobs on the SS ...do they actually do anything.. i can only detect the smallest change in tone when I turn the Mids control the full spectrum and i hear absolutely no difference in sound when I turn the contour HFQ knob.. My units is only a few weeks old ..what should i be hearing when rolling off the full spectrum of these controls?
  11. Well i had read enough of the posts prior to receiving amp to know a few of the "tricks" I did move the amp around to different locations and distances and of course I am patched in stereo. I really think this amp has a more dramatic effect on the players who have not been playing out of a stereo amp prior, unlike myself. As far as what someone hears 40 ft away in the audience... Im not all that concerned about that( of course i dont want anything to sound bad out there). I need to hear the best sound from my monitor so that i can play comfortably and inspired..please understand, im not in any way saying this is not a good little amp, and its going to make live keyboards sound about as good as they can from one little cabinet. I guess i was hoping that there would be something magical about it that would be the end all solution to having the sound I wish I could get live an I am really speaking about the AP sound..to be fair the MS isnt the "holy grail " either.. I just feel the AP's sound a bit nicer thru it and thats very important to me. Of course all of this is subjective ... and as the amps creator said somewhere back in the posts..."the amp is only human"..love that Zaj58 I was one of the early adopters of the SSv3. I now have two of them, as I routinely play in two different cities. Bar bands, mostly electric music at moderate volume. For me, I had to learn the functional difference between a stage monitor, and a stage amp. With a stage monitor, you're the only one who's listening, with a stage amp it's the rest of the band as well as the audience, especially if you're not running through the PA (often the case for me). As a pure stage monitor, the SSv3 is not ideal -- you can't plop it under your boards, or 2 feet from your ears and easily get the sound you want. I will sometimes use a self-powered PA unit (or two) for pure stage monitoring. A QSC K10 or two is more than enough. As a stage amp it rocks -- pure and simple. Plenty of volume, lots of dispersion and bloom, small and compact, better in most situations than a pair of self-powered PA units -- everybody hears everything, wonderful stereo, and it's not overpowering. Yes, the AP sounds are the most challenging. What I've found is that success is largely based on three factors. First, placement -- as far away from your ears as you can manage, and use the side-speaker-facing-down-on-a-stand approach. Second, evaluate the mix, not the solo instrument. I'll do one thing ahead of the gig, and then find myself frantically adjusting knobs during the first few songs. I've figured it out now, but it took a while. Third, be prepared to bias your piano voice selection towards the amp's strengths: more stereo content, maybe a bit of "sweetener" in a layer, etc. Is it the holy grail? Not really. Is it the best amp solution for what I'm doing today? Definitely. -- Chuck I do appreciate the insights Chuck and I understand the strong points of this amp for sure. I really am using my stage amp/monitor as a onstage monitor or to create the stage mix..Ninety five percent of the time my sound to the audience is in the hands of FOH.. Thats why what seems to be one of the strongest aspects of this amp , its ability to project and throw sound about the room is not as important to me.. I rarely need my stage amp to be my sole source of audio..I just want what I hear on stage to be sweet. Like when you hear these boards played thru quality studio monitors..yea i know, good luck with that.. and i have to be realistic. I also have 2 QSC's that i will use on some gigs. Having the QCS's and a MS500sn was about all i needed. That was my original point, I didnt think the SSV3 took the quality of using those other options to another level.. with that said the only thing I can say to my fellow players is that if you already have a stereo setup your using like a MS500sn or a couple of quality powered monitors and your relatively happy, the space station is not going to change much.. I may keep the unit just because of it's compact size and convenience..was thinking of doing smaller cabaret type gigs in the future w/ just me and a singer or small jazz combo.. I think it would be perfect for that. Great for an easy load in and setup..I will be playing with it a bit more before i decide to keep or not.

  13. Just received my SV3 today.. Gave it first test run at the house. Well, I know this amp is much beloved by most as evidenced in this forum, but I have to say it hasn't blown me away..I have been playing my electro 5d thru it and of course it's the AP's I use as the bench mark. AP's on the nord sound decent enough but still have that stage amp boxiness . Of course Hammond sounds sound nice and Ep's sound nice, but they usually do even in mono. I may have a different perspective then others here because i have been using a MS 500sn prior to this purchases and honestly so far im thinking I like the MS better. The stereo litmus test to me is the stereo auto pan on a rhodes. I do like the fatter dimensional effect I get from the MS better. Of course that amp is almost twice the price as the SV3 and only marginally better in my opinion. Also i dont need mixers/subs special stands and sound reflectors to tweek the sounds.. with that said i do think this is a great KB amp option , one of the best out there for sure. I just think in my case I could have done without it..but with so much buzz on this thing it was hard to resist( you all know how that goes).I may be sending it back or offering it up for sale on here shortly. In fairness it needs a little more experimenting
  14. I guess you mean the stereo image produced by SSV3 when you say "expander effect",- right ? IMO it isn´t an "effect" at all, it´s just only how the amps and speakers in that cab create a Mid/Side stereo image from a single cabinet and once you´ve found your desired "stereo-width" w/ help of the adjustable electronics and depending on the environment, you leave it as it is for the performance, just like you have set up stereo speakers. I´m pretty sure the Motion Sound works totally different. Yes, you need a mixer when using more than one stereo keyboards, except you own one of these keyboards offering stereo line ins like Kawai MP7 p.ex. or the Roland Integra-7 module which both offer 1/4" inputs,- others come w/ 1/8" TRS stereo input. That way you cascade 2 pieces of gear and go straight into the stereo input of the amp/cab (which is exactly what I have in mind for a small rig). A.C. thanks for the good info... amp will be on my radar for sure..
  15. well looking at the specs on the SS V3 i see it has only a single stereo input( at least thats how i see it) and also only a 1/4' out for sub... so when using a couple of different keyboards you would need a mixer... in that case if you were to use the ex-pander effect it would effect both keyboards sounds.. this may not be what you want on any given occasion...MS would alow me to use the expander effect individually. this and not having the convenience of stereo XLR out direct from amp to FOH may make the motion sound the better choice for me.. although i would not mind having both amps... to use for different scenarios as you have mentioned.. just think i would go w/ the MS first
