  1. The best I was able to find is the Kurzweil KB76 gig bag from that big store in Wi for $300. The interior length is 49” but when you use the 2 large extra pads that come with it, that fit perfectly, the PC4-7 fits like a glove. Case is semi-rigid, adequately padded, and has wheels. I just use the keyboard for local gigs and rehearsals so I’ve been satisfied.
  2. Ah…this is how I started when I was 16 back in ‘76. Bought it for…wait…$500! But is was in mint condition with the top and legs with a Leslie 825 for another $300. Borrowed some of the cash from my dad and paid him back $100/mo until paid off. Started playing gigs almost as soon as I got it. The “good” ole days…
  3. Finally, a mix where the keys are equal to or greater than guitar! Love it!!!!
  4. Dennis also collaborated and performed with Jim Peterik one several songs before the pandemic. I think the most popular release was “Proof of Heaven.” I believe there’s a video out there somewhere. I’m sure it was easy for them to get together as they live around the corner from each other in the Chicago burbs. One of my daughters went to school with Peterik’s son, Colin, a great musician in his own right, and after they became friends I was privy to some interesting gossip. Also, I believe De Young released songs in 2020 and 2021 with his latest band. Not sure if they ever performed them publicly. Dennis must be in his mid-70’s by now, maybe that’s why he hasn’t been touring?
  5. I’ve been going to DPreview almost daily for years, like here. The practical information and insight gained over a variety of topics in the forums was extremely helpful to me and so many others, much like KC is to us. It was rated as the #1 internet photography site and will be sorely missed by so many. And the fact that over 20 years of shared knowledge will not be saved, as I understand it, is heartbreaking.
  6. How ironic we have this monster keyboard player shown in this video and on this thread in particular, yet, look at all the patrons in the first row. ALL of them constantly have their eyes fixed on the other side of the stage - big surprise - on the guitarist! What a shame…🤷🏻‍♂️
  7. Just FWIW, when I did DSB, I combined two different piano patches on my PC3 (don’t remember which ones anymore), slightly altered fine-tuning on each, with a sprinkle of chorus, delay, and reverb IIRC. Also, split keyboard using two piano patches on the LH (for bass notes) pretty much same as upper split, but one was +octave, and disabled the sustain pedal. Might sound weird, but it sounded better to me - kept the bass noted cleaner, easier to play cleaner when using some sustain on upper part, if that makes sense. Just thought I’d throw that out there in case it might be useful.
  8. My heart goes out to you, your band mates, and all the others in your community. What a tragic, sudden, devastating loss for all of you. As you can see, this place is a great place to come for comfort, guidance, inspiration, encouragement not only about all things musical, but for life's circumstances, and all that it brings. As you can see, many have offered thoughts and suggestions that are helpful. May you grieve in whatever way and for however long, in your own unique way, and allow and understand others need to do the same. I am hopeful that in whatever time frame, you and your band mates will continue musically and allow yourselves to experience all the good memories to come from that. Music, and for me, playing out especially, has been a loyal companion and comforter throughout many of life’s difficulties. Best wishes to you and don’t be afraid to come here often. I’m sure we’d all like to hear from you.
  9. That’s happened to me more than once at a local GC. Almost makes me wish they worked commission like years ago. I don’t know which is worse!
  10. That’s what I’ve been using for years. I agree, easy peasy.
  11. Just ordered Stage 3 Compact and Wave 2. Great deals, couldn’t pass it up.
  12. Wow, just wow! Thanks for posting this, I thoroughly enjoyed it. What a master…
  13. I have no idea what you guys are talking about…🤷🏻‍♂️
  14. I heard the Bb notes had the same problem. 🤭
