  1. that´s for sure the best way getting standing ovations ! A.C.
  2. It has limitations like amp sim in zone 1 only, no C/V for organ, as also only 2 insertFX per zone too. I won´t comment on the leslie sim at all since we know what HX3 (MAG and UHL) as also Viscount Legend Soul offer. Any Kurzweil is lightyears ahead when it comes to (freely user programmable) insert FX chains. Kawai acoustic piano samples are best and e-pianos are good, but many of the other "bread & butter" sounds are just only fillers. OTOH,- Kawai makes and offers the BEST weighted hammer triple sensor keyboard actions available. Build quality and reliability are good too and MP7 / MP11 models look very nice. I hope for a successor (MP7se mk2 ?) offering more DSP power/ more flexibility for FX, fast USB audio (and MIDI) as also a mixer like the Studiologic Numa X offers. A.C.
  3. I wish, the SL73 gets the Numa X 73´s keyboard action in future. A.C.
  4. I´ll check out the Fractal Audio Axe-Fx III Mark II soon, just to get an impression what it can do for keyboards too. A.C.
  5. Sorry,- that seems to be today´s marketing strategy. I didn´t click the button ... Did they ask for a deposit ? A.C.
  6. pre-order again,- it´s cheaper now. clonk here $ 699.- A.C.
  7. There´ll come the time you´ll need 2 octaves or less only,- ALL,- you, the chicks and your axe will survive,- and these "GIRLS" will be yours ! A.C.
  8. I downloaded the demo and hated the "modulation-button". It might be "original" behaviour, but when using the modwheel on a controller, switching modulation on/off should be optional. I prefer the modwheel acting as "depth" - control for modulation. A software emulation is modern technology,- and IMO, there´s no need to copy every single design flaw when emulating a vintage synth model. A.C.
  9. But no info on keyboardpartner website as also not in the forum. So, it´s obviously not ready for the market and I don´t believe MAG is using it already. Any info about improvements and new features ? A.C.
  10. ... and exactly those observations always hold be back from buying such gear. WHO is willing to tinker with on/off switch issues ? Maybe there comes the day it automaticly turns off while performing on stage. A.C.
  11. Not true. HX3.5 is the latest version, HX3.6 doesn´t exist at all. I guess MAG moved from HX3.4 to HX3.5,- the 1st version where a Neo Vent isn´t urgently needed. HX3.5 has the upgraded FPGA already and was advertised for enough headroom for future improvements already. Anyway,- the wait time and deposit solution when ordering a MAG is also not my cup of tea. I passed buying a J.B. Solaris because of that behaviour already. In my age, when I want something, I want it NOW,- and I prefer to touch/play it before I buy. A.C.
  12. I was able downloading IKM installers for B3X and the "CS" freebies and save to disk after I logged in into my account. You need to install IKM product manager for authorizations and updates. There are 2 ways,- download, install and authorize via product manager in one go,- or download the zip file (installer inside) and install/authorize later. A.C.
  13. Not always and when you download. Some are installers which put different files into different locations, especially when a standalone version is included. A.C.
  14. For NI Komplete (U / UCE), you just only need to install Native Access on your system drive. Then connect any ext. drive to your computer and tell NI Access where product downloads should go. But have in mind, downloads to s standard SATA HDD mounted in an ext. drive are slow. I´m doing that on my DAW and w/ an internal 10k upm WD VelocyRaptor HDD I use for downloads and audio recordings, just only to avoid too quick wear and tear of my SSDs. All my downloads go there and I install from there. I did w/ NI Komplete Ultimate CE p.ex. I make a backup of downloaded installer- and ISO files later. Because NI Access allows to change the download/ content path,- you can move libraries around later and relocate ´em in NI Access window. So, when a drive is full, you don´t need a larger drive urgently. Boxed versions don´t prevent from download. There are never the latest version installers and ISOs on these "boxed" drives. A.C.
  15. When Cherry Audio released Mercury-4, I expected they´ll come w/ a Jupiter-8 emulation in future,- last but not least because both hardware synths used the same filter OTA chip. In a software emulation, it doesn´t matter if it´s a JP-8 or -6. In hardware, the JP-6 was the little bro of the -8, mostly because of lack of the 2 voices,- and the JP-6´s main advantage over the big bro was simply MIDI. But what they had in common is way more important for the software emulation, the IR3109 OTA custom chip, which was used as the filter core in several of the Roland analog synths,- JP-4, JP-8, JP-6, MKS80 rev4, Juno-6, SH-101 and MC-202. IR305 (combined filter and VCA) came for MKS80rev5, JX8P, MKS70 ... So, when CA modelled the IR3109 right, Mercury-6 w/ it´s extended polyphony, keyboard modes and extras covers a LOT of Roland analog ground, especially when you have CA "DCO-106" Juno (80017A chip)- and Martin Lueders "PG8X" JX8P emulations in addition. I´ll buy it because I loved my MKS80rev4´s sound and now will get it back in software. A.C.
