  1. Hello, Musicale here after long absence! So just bought one of these mostly for the lake house. I am also interested in adjusting the Rotary effect, mostly because it immediately goes from slow to fast which is too dramatic. So does anyone know what category the Rotary is in? I think Chorus. I did a quick look at the parameters, and they were things like LFO frequency, various EQ"s so I wonder which parameter would control the time from slow to fast. Anyway any further discussion is appreciated. I will continue the knowledge build and press on, I thought I would put this out to the gallery. It is a fine board for playing around with with all the styles etc. I really bought it for a value price for the piano sounds that I think are very good. So not necessarily a great gigging board it"s more of a pretty good toy. Musicale
  2. He's no question one of the greatest writers and players of all time. A monster. Love all of his stuff, not completely aware of his personal life but the rest is marvelous Musicale
  3. He plays from a different place maybe the heart maybe the gut and I love listening to him especially with the JGB. Not a jazz player like JOS but in his own way a master. Musicale
  4. Thanks b3Halt. I agree excellent player. I love the album Black Talk. I have worked on More Today Than Yesterday quite a bit and the whole album swings. He I think was originally a sax player.
  5. Any analysis of the Charles Earland bass Lines. Appreciated. Musicale
  6. Fan here. I can't believe that I actually saw Cannonball with Joe Z in Chicago at the Auditorium theater. Not sure the year but it was definitely in the 60's probably 67 or 68. That was amazing and of course did Mercy. Ever since then I loved his stuff. Then for the last time I saw him at Symphony Center in Chicago about 3-4 months before he passed. I could tell something was wrong as he was slow to come out on stage and just did not seem right. I am so happy to have been a fan. And thanks to those who posted video that I've not seen. You don't see too many Weather Report cover bands out there... Musicale
  7. Lamm probably forgot it himself. Refer to the Steve Nathan post... Musicale
  8. Thank You Sir, I have always wanted to be able to play this tune, but I'm not that skilles ( after 50 years of playing). So This will take me probably 6 months to learn, so I'll give it a whirl. Let us know if you do a video, I can't wait. Musicale
  9. Yeah also met Dave at the GEM warehouse in Chicago near the airport. He demoed it for me I bought thr PRP right on the spot. Then he proceeded to provide support for a few years post even after leaving GEM. Still the best customer support experience I have endured ! Hello Dave Musicale
  10. I have the PRP800 sounds great. Have had a few electronic glitches with booting up that's completely random. Currently have one note out (probably a small issue with contact), so I'll see if I can fix it myself or if it needs somebody who knows the action. I think it's fatar. But an excellent heavy board generally.
  11. How's the Hammond Sound ? Musicale
  12. Wow, That's exactly what I though when I played one... So now I want one. regards, Musicale
  13. I had one installed in my 22H by Lonnie at George Smith's in Anderson, IN. I'm not sure who is the designer of the electronics, it's definitely not the Caribbean. They seem to be the most advanced based on looking at the electronics they use. Lonnie said that it was made by the original maker of the conversion kit. Didn't get into specifics. The kit is OK. The drawback of all of the conversions out is that they slow the motor down, I think by altering the frequency of the AC to the motor and as a result the motors tend to run hotter. I'm not absolute yet, but I don't think, at least the one I have, is acceptable for "Professional use". Meaning for example, Church, Touring, and other demanding applications. A good topic for discussion....... Regards
