I've repaired lots of keyboards but my own Ni Komplete 37 with a non-working mod wheel (not the wheel itself, but the electronics) had my ass handed to me. I'm positive no human assembled those boards. One project I plan on sometime in the future is swapping out the 1/8" input monitor jack on my NS3 for a 1/4" jack, or just adding a 1/4" jack somewhere.

Oh, I initially thought music stand, even though you said keyboard stand. A typical sheet music stand would give you tilt and height adjustments. Or if tilt isn't needed, a keyboard mounted sheet music stand might do it.

Kraft Music has it listed at $2,499. Basically I'm on the fence with the SP7. If the graded hammer action is easier to play (lighter touch) than the LR, I "might" be interested in a crossgrade from my PC4 whose action I like. Touchscreen is nice to me only if I can setup a setlist feature ala Kronos. The audio interface would save me some setup time over my MOTU M2 for my Surface Pro 7. The 4 part harmony feature is attractive to me being in a small "acoustic" trio as I use my amp for my sparse vocals anyway. The weight is a tad heavier than the PC4 but probably manageable. I do like the shape of the board better overall. I need to come to grips with that it's mostly just GAS that's even having me consider the new board.

Agreed. All the keybeds I've ever seen with diodes on them have used signal diodes 1n914 or 1n8148 (same size diodes, little bit different specs). If you can desolder and solder, DIY and save.

I got the PC4 for Christmas as a lightweight replacement for my Stage 3. Highest priority in my selection was weight and the 2nd was a light keybed action. It is 13 lbs lighter than the Nord and the action is very close as well, just a slight bit slower that becomes unnoticeable after a few minutes of playing. Bonus points for having a great organ (KB3) with 9 faders and all the needed stock sounds, including good pop brass. For the price I couldn't have imagined a better lightweight stage piano. Hats off to Kurzweil!

That's what I used as a solution, except I goofed up and got the one without wheels, but it's ok b/c it slides on the carpet real well.

You might wish to spring for the A500, given it's 9 faders, pots and switches.

Update: I did finally get the drawbars and knobs from the keyboard partner shop in Germany. They are similar, but are upside down for the XK-1, which puts the solder tabs 180º off for the fader pcb assy. I pulled the draws out of the new drawbars and installed in the old drawbar shells.

I wouldn't do that; call that throwin' good after bad. You're right about the keybed though! Yeah, the D9U actually only $139 and they sure look like the same drawbars too. Easy peazy to install them. I still have to clean the key contact cups and replace the Value encoder too. That's probably a bit less than $250 total. I'll have to present him with the options. David, Yeah all the replacement pictures I've seen are of the whole assembly, ie. not individual slide pots. Del Dave, IDK. Possible I guess. Keyboard isn't worth me spending much time on it. It has a few other problems too. Looking at the drawbars in the GMLab D9U MIDI kit. They look more similar. Don't yet know if I could get a couple of spares yet if not a full purchase. New worst case scenario: I'll ask the guy if I can preset the 16' to full out and pull the drawbar out and place it in the 2' slide pot. Thanks guys!
