Music, music, and did I mention music?
  1. This is really disappointing. When I had my studio, I had a M3000 Studio Reverb Processor, which I totally loved. However, after the shoddy treatment of so many people, I don't think I can trust TCE with my very hard earned money. I really makes no sense to me...
  2. I have their Hall of Fame Reverb and the foot switch does have a strange feel to it. Unlike the normal large switch found on most pedals, the TC has a very weak tactile response; like you need to really mash down on it to engage it. I even Emailed TC support about it and in their response they assured me all was well. If this switch is indeed PCB mounted, I can foresee many cracked or broken circuit boards due to the stress placed on it. An easy workaround would be to leave it on and use a more robust AB switch to Route-To or Bypass it.
  3. A quick question... Can you tell me where I can buy tiny plastic tubing or sleeving that is used to insulate exposed component leads? All I can find is heat shrink or big stuff. Thanks Miles Never mind, I finally found some... http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/PTFE-18/18-GAUGE-TEFLON-TUBING-NATURAL/1.html
  4. Question: Are all modern electrolytics the aluminum can type? The type I'm replacing look more like Sprague Orange Drops, but those are listed as a film type.
  5. Hello Myles, I have been rebuilding a Kustom II amp vintage 1975. I'm ready to begin recapping, but I'm having trouble finding a supplier for the electrolytics. 1 - Do you have a supplier you can reccomend? 2 - What type should I be looking for? The old ones are orange and the outside coating are the dipped type. All lead spacings are the same - 0.4" Values range from .0012uf to .47uf; generally 100v, 10% tolerance. 3 - A particular brand? Some of the caps are labeled Paktron. I appreciate any help you can give me.
