  1. Hello Everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a very healthy and happy new year. It's been a very rough 2023 both here and abroad for many people, which makes one think about how precious people, relationships and friendships truly are in our lives. Something I think that it's easy to overlook when things are going well. Notwithstanding my hopes that the major problems around the world are addressed in a way to heal all of those people affected, I also wanted to personally send a heartfelt wish to you here on the forum and to your families and friends for good health and happiness in the new year. Kind Regards, Anthony M.
  2. Hello Guy's - as it turns out the buyer cancelled the sale, so thanks for the answers..... but as it turns out, not necessary after all. Sorry to have taken your time with this. I saw in another thread that there is the annual Native Instruments 50% off sale.... so I guess that accounts for it. Regards, Anthony
  3. Hi Everyone - just wanted to say thank you for the replies. Still not clear on what I need to do here - but I wanted to say thank you just the same. Like I mentioned, I wasn't looking to upgrade further right now. It's just that I have Komplete 8 Ultimate, the Komplete 11 Update and also the Komplete 12 CE Upgrade. Since I'm keeping the latter, I just wanted to know if I still needed the Version 11 Update - since both boxes indicated that they could be used by owners of Komplete 8 Ultimate. Please have a Very Safe and Happy Memorial Day Weekend As a member for quite a number of years, it's been a wonderful experience. Warm Regards, Anthony
  4. Thanks for the info everyone. But, my question is more.....is the Komplete 11 Ultimate update software I purchased still needed ? I have an unused hard drive edition that someone is interested in purchasing from me. My unused hard drive edition of Komplete 12 CE Upgrade indicates that it is also for to be used for owners of Komplete 8-12 Ultimate. So I am assuming that I no longer need the interim Komplete 11 Ultimate hard drive or the license that came with it. That I can go straight from Komplete 8 Ultimate to Komplete 12 CD Upgrade. Would just like to confirm.
  5. Hello Rabid - I purchased only Komplete Ultimate 8 as a full product. Both of the newer packages say it is for use for owners of Komplete 8 Ultimate, so that's where it get's confusing for me. So, since the CE 12 Upgrade advised that it is for use for owners of Komplete 8 Ultimate, I am assuming I don't need the interim package? Thanks Again,
  6. Hello There Jose, I'm not really interested in upgrading from 12 at the moment., but thank you! I just really needed to know if I could safely part with the Komplete 11 Update I purchased prior to 12 CE Upgrade when that version came out. Or do I need them both? Thanks Again, Anthony
  7. Hey Everyone, I had a very quick question regarding Komplete Update vs. Upgrade packages. As I am a little confused about the different terminology. I currently own Komplete 8 Ultimate - this was my original Komplete Purchase But I also own: Komplete Utimate 11 Update for owners of Komplete Ultimate 8 - 10 and Komplete Ultimate 12 Collectors Edition Upgrade for owners of Komplete Ultimate 8-12 I can't find clear info online about the difference between an update and an upgrade other than stating that they are different license types requiring the base product. Also, I wanted to know if I need them both to update to version 12 Collectors Edition. As I currently have an offer for the Ultimate 11 Update on Ebay. None of these are registered and are Pre Mac M1 obviously, so would need to download native versions anyway. Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I hope you all enjoy it. Look forward to seeing you all again at a Keyboard Corner hang. Anthony
  8. Hello Everyone: I've watched a video recently regarding a comparison between the Nord internal piano's such as the White Grand or Royal Grand 3 vs Universal Audio's Ravel, which is now on sale at Sweetwater by the way for only $99.00. Although I understand you can now run this with any DAW of AD interface, I believe it does not run stand alone like other piano VST's. So I wanted to get your opinion's as well..... since I recently let my Nord Stage 3 Compact go, and really do miss the sound. I had purchased some piano VST's like VSL Yamaha CFX, True Keys American D and also had Ivory 2 bundle from years ago.... but I am having some problems getting them to sound close. This might be however due to my inexperience with VST's. The Royal Grand 3D is a binaural sample and is a Yamaha C6. The Ravel is partially sampled and modeled and sounds pretty close on some settings. I also like the Noir piano which is a larger Yamaha as well. Just attempting to NOT jump the gun by ordering another Nord Piano or Stage simply for the sample set. There is a person on Facebook who has sampled the Nord Keyboard but unfortunately has not answered my inquiries. But the cost would be minuscule vs. purchasing any Nord keyboard right now. Not that I wouldn't want one. I sold my Nord Stage 3 Compact because although I loved the sounds, I was not using it's keyboard, but rather playing via a weighted keyboard via Midi. Warm Regards, Anthony
  9. Has anyone tried the keyboards of the Nord Stage 4 88 vs Nord Piano 5 ? According to Piano Man Chuck, he advised that the Nord Piano 5 was more piano like in action since the Stage 4 needs to cover double duties with Organ and Synth work. I ask this because the organ sounds in the Nords are usually looked on as close to being the best, but not quite as good as dedicated B3 Clones. So if running Organ from another module or keyboard, it would not be necessary to purchase the Stage outside of the All-In-One convenience of layering and stacking sounds along with the new 3 instances of the synth engine on the Stage. I was also wondering if anyone here thinks that the Stage 5 synth is superior or on par with dedicated synth keyboards like the Summit or ASM Hydrasynth? I know it's a little early to ask these questions, but was hoping that someone would have auditioned in a store that had them. I did have a Nord Stage 3 C that I was playing from a Roland 88-Key Midi Controller, so was wondering if the feel is significantly better or worse also. Warm Regards, Anthony
  10. Hello everybody, This might have been covered before, since I know that there is a thread covering the new Viscount Soul. But I was wondering if there is a drastic difference in the sound between both models. Also the Legend has a single manual version and I also believe a module version. So more choices than just going with the Soul right now. I saw the new demos for the Soul and was just blown away by the authenticity of the sound. I happened to see both models listed at Thommans by the way. And the US prices are much cheaper than US dealers. I was wondering though, since they are in the UK would there be a significant increase to the price if shipping to the US? I would assume so. Warm Regards, Anthony
  11. Hey There, A little unrelated 3 Dog Night Trivia: Did you know that the guitarist - singer who played John Lennon (actually an exact sound and body double) in the Broadway play and was featured in Beatlemania The Movie - was a guitarist and backing vocalist in the touring band of 3 Dog Night? His name is David Leon and he was also in one of the revolving cast of Rain, when that was on Broadway more recently. In that play, he looked "exactly" like the 1970's John Lennon. The reason I know about the 3 Dog Night reference is that this was mentioned in the Cast Bio for Rain. Regards, Anthony
  12. Hello Everyone, I had asked a similar question about 6 months or so ago, but could use some additional info. I'd like to download the VST application software and sound libraries to an external MY Passport HDD (not SSD) for safekeeping before moving the VST application itself to my M1 MAC Mini and the libraries to an external SSD Thunderbolt drive. Is this possible when downloading for example Komplete, VSL Piano Libraries or the KORG sound libraries. I'd like to just have the application and sound library files on a hard drive prior to any installation, similar to what Keyscape and Komplete offer when purchasing the boxed version. Regards, Anthony
  13. Hello Everyone, I thought you might enjoy this. It has a lot of close up's of Elton John and the Auxiliary Keyboard Player. The sound is great! He's using a Kuezwel K2600, Motif XF6 and a couple of other boards. it looks like it was filmed from the first few rows. Enjoy! Anthony
  14. Does anyone have any info on what the weighted keyboard feels like? Is it the same as on previous models? I know they mentioned 3 sensor but I'm speaking more on the way it actually feels to play it as compared to say the keyboard in the Roland Fantom and other 88 key Roland Midi controllers. I am planning to replace my current Nord Stage 3 Compact which has the waterfall keys, with a Nord Stage 4 (I will list it in the Garage Sale). I have only played the Stage 3 from an external 88 key midi controller except for testing out some sounds, so it is immaculate. Just fell in love with the Royal Grand 3 and some of the Electric Pianos, which is what I mainly use. The only problem with selling it is that I had purchased some custom sounds from Matt Cossey quite some time ago and have read that sounds in general cannot be ported over from the Stage 3 to the Stage 4 or otherwise translated due to the synth architecture, which is different. Since I never used the keyboard live as planned to this point, I guess this doesn't matter. But I would have still loved to have the sounds on board.
  15. I had watched a Sonicstate review earlier today with a Roland Product Demonstration guru Andy. He mentioned that the sound engine was not ACB but rather based on Zencore Technology without being directly. Also that the keyboard emulations were not "full" recreations but used oscillator modeling of those units.
