  1. Dude. Did they learn how to unzip my Gator case, then zip it up again? I thought we were all adults here.
  2. Okay. I'm really hoping for serious answers.
  3. How does an interpreter/translater get access to Shohei's money? Something smells fishy. I thought this was a foolish contract. He is not a proven commodity. The Japanese and Korean leagues are still vastly inferior to MLB.
  4. I understood teams being reluctant to back up the Brinks truck to Blake Snell's door, since he was asking for so much, but Montgomery was puzzling, and made me suspect that there may be unpublished issues. I also read that the Yankees offered Snell $150M and he turned it down. He's getting less than that from the Giants. It was either an agency screw-up (Boros?) or maybe Snell just didn't want to play for Yankees fans after watching the Joey Gallo debacle. I can't say I would blame him, the way he walks people. They can be brutal.
  5. No offense to Dodgers fans, but I can't understand how anyone can consider them the best team in baseball. I realize that I'm biased, but even objectively the Braves are stacked, with a pitching staff that includes Spencer Strider, Max Fried (in his walk year), Chris Sale (who looks like his old self), and Charlie Morton, still the best curveball in MLB. They added Reynaldo López as a 5th starter. Huascar Ynoa is back. Tyler Matsek is back. Dylan Lee is back. They got Aaron Bummer from the Chisox. They have so much pitching that they had to send down to AAA Gwinnett guys who would fit on most MLB teams. The Gwinnett Strypers have a rotation of Allan Winans, Dylan Dodd, Darius Vines, last year's All-Star Bryce Elder, A.J. Smith-Shawver, and until today Jackson Stephens, who opted for free agency rather than take the minor league assignment. All of those guys pitched for the Braves last year, and that's a rotation that some big league clubs would take in a second. Ronald Acuna, Jr. - RF Ozzie Albies - 2B Austin Riley - 3B Matt Olson - 1B Marcel Ozuna - DH Sean Murphy/Travis d'Arnaud - C Jared Kelenic/Adam Duvall - LF Michael Harris II - CF Orlando Arcia - SS Position by position, the only clear Dodger advantage is Mookie Betts over Orlando Arcia. As much as I love Freddie Freeman, Matt Olson led all of MLB in HR and RBI last year. As great a hitter as he is, Shohei Ohtani (44/95, 151 hits) was about equal to Marcel Ozuna (40/100, 145 hits). Will Smith is not better than Sean Murphy. Max Muncy is not better than Austin Riley. Gavin Lux is certainly not better than Ozzie Albies. James Outman is not better than Michael Harris II, one of the best CF gloves in baseball. Jason Heyward is a class act, but he's no Ronald. Teoscar Hernández (26/93) is solid in LF, and could be better than the Kelenic/Duvall (21/58 in only 92 games) platoon, but he's played his entire career in the AL, so he's still a question mark. Okay, that's my rant. I feel better now!
  6. Thank you all for your responses. This keyboard never sees sunlight. On the rare occasions I play outdoors I am always under cover. It rarely even comes into the house. When I'm not playing it, it resides in an ultra-soft micro-fleece interior of a Gator Pro-Go 76 I read a few of these replies before I played a luncheon today, so I was paying attention to my fingering, and my fingernails do not meet the keys very often, but sometimes! And my fingernails are usually very short. I also have a few keys with these indents on the lowest C and D on this 76 key PC4-7. I have a very light touch - no piano in my background, just organ and synths. I don't wear rings or any jewelry anywhere. I wouldn't let a soldering iron anywhere near my keys. And like I said, it stays in the car. I don't read music or charts. Here's one of my ancient Quadrasynths: Now, my fingers don't travel that far up that B key, no matter what I'm playing. And certainly not enough times to wear a groove. There is also a smaller indent on the lowest D of this 76-key board. It's also high up on the key. This keyboard spent it's life in a wooden road case with eggshell foam.
  7. Pardon the glare. I had a difficult time getting a good photo, so I'm including two of them. What causes these key degradations? All of my old Alesis synths have them, also. Back then, I assumed it had to do with acidic skin or something, but since I've been playing this PC4-7 I have been obsessive about washing my hands after setup, before playing a note. Does anyone else have this issue?
  8. My personal feelings are that, if you gig a lot, then you must have another Mac as backup. Especially if you value your reputation. I can think of few things worse than cancelling a gig, or worse a wedding gig, because your computer won't cooperate. My two cents.
  9. I've been running in stereo since I first bought my old Fender Passport Deluxe in the early aughts. What I've always done is position them like a PA, dead even with me on the stage, and point each inward a bit so that I hear them both well without them blasting me or feeding back. If they are behind me I don't hear the high end or the definition as well.
  10. Did you buy it? It's definitely worth the $17 and change.
  11. I've never had a bit of trouble with it. It's built like a tank. I'm not a fan of the pianos or EPs, or organs, but the electric guitars are good, and the synths and pads are gorgeous. Especially the Hollow Sun and Klaus Shultz banks, which show off the keyboard's capabilities much better than the rushed Preset sounds. I really wish I had occasion to use it more at live gigs, but I usually just play my Kurzweil PC4-7, which covers everything I need very well.
  12. Mine has a USB plug, no PS/2. I posted a photo of the model # and that's all I know about it. I didn't even know there were multiple versions. I'm going to plug it into my iPad via the camera adapter.
  13. No worries, Floyd. I'm still holding out hope that someone will come up with a driver, or that one day I abandon Windows and find that Ubuntu has a working driver. Actually, I've never plugged it into my iPad Pro, so maybe it works with that. I'll check and report. I hate to see it being unused, at least the keyboard function, since it's practically brand new.
  14. But that's not available for iPad, AFAIK.
