  1. Welcome, @mjsjazz. This topic comes up every few weeks. Revolving door of posters, but the gist is pretty much the same. Might as well start with the latest: clonk
  2. The CK61 is great for that, and has cc transmitting drawbars. Bonus is that some of its internal sounds are as good if not better than some apps. Best of both worlds IMO.
  3. I used many of the suggestions above, mostly written on cheat sheets on recipe cards.

  5. Calling Julius D…
  6. That Gershwin fella sure knew his standards
  7. I’ve tried Camelot a few times and could never get used to the box interface, and how they organize things. I prefer the “channel strip” approach such as with AUM and MainStage. My brother has been looking for a host to run a fairly complex show, and tried Camelot, MainStage and Gig Performer. None of them worked for him. He’s a Cubase power user and out of the blue got a marketing email from Steinberg promoting their VSTLive. It’s so much like Cubase that he is finding VSTLive to be his solution for loading multi instruments, light, charts, everything.
  8. I really, really like Beato’s videos. Thanks for posting - it’s a good read.
  9. I’ve always thought it was pronounced “Bee-ANN-oh.”
  10. I’m probably the outlier, but I gliss with my nails. Thumbnail on the way down, fingernails on the way up. The only way I get those skin splits beside the thumbnail or index/third fingers are from glancing off sticky keys and my skin pulls apart. During the summer months, I “tape up,” and I’ve taught myself to play a lot more delicately.
  11. This is a known issue with Motion Sound amps from the beginning. I had a KS 200 approx 25 years ago that dropped knobs all the time; awkward carrying position didn’t help. I contacted the company, they sent me free ones with a note that I should use Shoe Goop to glue them on. My thought was “then why don’t they do that in the first place?” Sheesh.
